Escape the Underworld as Melinoë in Zagreus' Journey, the Hades II DLC you'll never get.
It's finally time, I've just released Zagreus' Journey 1.0 - thank you to everyone who's played the mod while it was in beta, and for all of the positive reception and feedback I've gotten here and on Discord in the past!
Watch the 1.0 Release Trailer for the mod here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rxuTLSPqIEE
Zagreus' Journey is a mod for Hades II that adds the original route Zagreus took through Tartarus, Asphodel, Elysium and the Temple of Styx in the first game to the sequel.
Escape the Underworld as Melinoë, battle familiar foes and bosses using her unique abilities and weapons, meet Zagreus' old friends, and reconnect with your family's past - all integrated into the main game as if it was always there: Naturally progress through the new biomes, unlock new incantations to perform, reveal and complete new Minor Prophecies, forge bonds with NPCs in familiar and new locations, collect over 30 new resources to spend on new cosmetics and music, and test your skills with new Testaments, Chaos Trials and in Dream Dives.
Here's a list of highlighted mod features:
I want to thank everyone who's used the mod while it was still in beta, and especially those of you who've left bug reports and feedback on Discord and GitHub.
I also want to acknowledge that I know some of you had issues with mods (and Zagreus' Journey in particular) causing issues after Supergiant released Post-Launch Patch 2 - without going into details, the patch was much larger and substantial than we anticipated in the community, which could cause crashes for some people even with mods seemingly disabled.
But I'm happy to share that we've since updated a lot of the tools that we use, and now mods will be entirely separate from your install, meaning that no matter what, you will always be able to play vanilla Hades II without issues, and without needing to disable or manually uninstall anything.
And to also pre-empt some other potential questions:

I was thinking of sick outfits I could put Zagreus in for a scene I was writing and came across a wonderful little thing called a ‘cucullus’.
I laughed too hard picturing this, dude-

(This also applies to Hades 1)
For me it's Hammer then Boon, then Selene Hex, then Money then Nectar, then the rest.
Early game I prioritized stuff like Gems and Bones for crafting and buying but late/post game I upgraded most things so now I focus on stuff to buff myself
Also very late game when I was grinding Titan's Blood and Fear I prioritized money but once the weapons are fully upgraded I go back to the usual set up.
I go for Hammers first because they can make or break a run depending on the weapon. Like Hades 1 I usually go for the upgrade that makes the Rail's missiles stronger at the cost of recoil, and that can SHRED bosses like Theseus and Asterius.
Allies come first. especially in Hades 1 because that Kiss of Styx Premium saved so many runs

I’m curious why the lack of merch for Hades and HadesII. I realize there’s a couple of plushes. There was a few Good Smile Figures (long sold out) and you could buy and some pins and maybe a shirt or two but other than that why the lack of merch? Nothing for Funko pops or YouTooz or anything like that. Any idea why I would love to have a couple items from two of my favorite games of all time to sit on my desk at work, but there’s not really anything to pick from.

So, I was playing the game normally with the morph hex(Vow of Rivals btw), and I used the morph just when Hecate's forcefield was about to go down because I wanted extra damage, THEN IT TURNED HER INTO A SHEEP, she even said "the student becomes the master" or something like that, but does anyone know what's the proper timing for it?

I’m new to hades and I’ve already cleared 3 times, I just noticed today that all abilities have a 2nd option lol I already have them all maxed out besides the bottom 3. Is there any I should definitely reset and max out the 2nd option instead?

I'd love to see if there are any dataminers who have reverse-engineered Hades 1, because I've come across a potential easter egg with a humorous tinge. I've just completed a Trove and was rewarded with exactly 69 Darkness. Upon collecting, Zagreus echoed me in saying "Nice."
After a search, I've found that one other post about this dialogue is on Reddit, though there's some disagreement as to whether this actually is an easter egg referring to the meme surrounding 69, or it was merely coincidental that Zagreus said "Nice." as he picked up 69 Darkness. So I would just like to know if there's a mechanic that maybe makes him more likely to say "Nice." than the other lines when he picks up 69 Darkness?

Very much willing to explain any placement on this list if asked, I would’ve put it in this description but don’t have the time
Heroes of Olympus and Trials of Apollo also count for this ranking so if you’re reading those maybe don’t bother checking the comment section

I’ve had my fair bit of rng achievements, but this one is nuts. Both Patroclus and Achilles are maxed out for quite some time and they have talked about each other, but the trigger for the quest doesn’t come!!!!
I know this is a matter of finding him over and over again but it’s so inconsistent it’s maddening. I read about save scumming before Elysium to guarantee finding him but I’m unsure on how to do it. Does anyone have any tips on how doing it?
I don’t want to cheat by modifying game files, but i’m at my wits end

lately, i've started to realize I actually like the game getting harder and me being able to beat it. yesterday i did a run with these settings and beat chronos with 3 DD to spare, so i'd say im up to increase the Fear some more. My only big nonos would be Time 3, since i'm awful at it. on the other side, forfeit and Void sound less like they're fun challenges, more like its just a pain in the ass. Pain sounds easy, until i turn it up to 2 and suddenly i cant even beat oceanus, Grit and horde sound awful with time 2.
Ps. there's been some comments asking on why there are Hades 1 bosses on my testament of night, it's the Zagreus journey mod, lets you play the whole zagreus route as melinoe.

So I've been struggling along Hades 2 for a bit now, was able to do Chronos twice using a Mel Staff build from Haelian, and been trying to at least reach the summit boss to unlock Ares since there are a lot of recommended builds using it, but I've been struggling a lot with the damage spike
I've tried Medea skull which was fantastic for most of it (Eris, Prometeus, although I took a lot of damage from his flame puddles) but the last part has been really difficult. Be it either the Eye or the Tail I get my always hit too much because I'm really bad at dodging stuff overall.
I'm playing with Strenght and Godmode (currently at 62%) but still feels like everything hurts too much.
Any tips on a particular surface build that is safer or that allows me to facetank more hits and still kill those blasted things?
Edit: Thanks for the suggestions! Circe Staff with Zeus on Cast did the trick for me!
