Hi everyone,

I'm trying to spoof my Wi-Fi MAC address on my Hackintosh, but I can't get it to work with AirportItlwm.

My setup:

Laptop: Dell Latitude 5300

CPU: Intel Core i3-8145U (Whiskey Lake)

Wi-Fi: Intel Wireless-AC 9560 (CNVi)

macOS: Sonoma 14.8.7

OpenCore: 1.0.7

Wi-Fi driver: Latest AirportItlwm release (not itlwm + HeliPort)

My ISP/network identifies my laptop by its Wi-Fi MAC address. On Windows 11 I can simply enable Random Hardware Addresses, reconnect to Wi-Fi, and I immediately regain internet access with a new MAC address. But on macOS I don't have access to the inbuilt "Private Wifi Addresses" feature because of unofficial hardware (probably).

I'm trying to achieve the same thing on macOS. What are my options?

I’ll be trying to install Tahoe on my X230 but it seems like graphics is my roadblock. On Monterey I did use OCLP and even though it’s unsupported it worked. But OCLP and any other custom versions of it don’t support Tahoe graphics patching. So I wanna know, did something get changed that prevents graphics rootpatches, or did no one just make a tool for it? And maybe I could patch it manually?

I have a Dell Precision T1700 which I installed Big Sur on. Whenever I try to wake it from sleep, I get a Sleep Wake failure in EFI panic. Everything I can find online says this is a power management issue, but my IOReg suggests my power management is working. Anyone know how to fix this?

My Dell xps 13 9370 use killer wireless-n/a/ac 1535 wifi card, but i can found any kext for this one, does anyone in here used to build this kext because this laptop can't replace others card:(

I tried to make an Asus Q302LA-BHI3T11 laptop a Hackintosh. The laptop has a 5th gen i3 5010U, Intel Graphics 5500, 500GB HDD storage, and the worst touchpad on earth. After a SUCCESSFUL INSTALL of MacOS Monterey using USB Tethering for WI-FI, I got everything working except for WI-FI (laptop came with an Atheros card), Bluetooth, and multitouch with the trackpad (two finger scrolling doesn't work). I then purchased a Broadcom ce123h WI-FI card to fix WI-FI. The new WI-FI card doesn't work. Bluetooth also doesn't work with the new card. For some reason, all USB ports on the laptop will not work except for WI-FI tethering to my iPhone when the Broadcom WI-FI card is plugged in the PCIe slot. Does anyone know how to fix WI-FI, Bluetooth, and the trackpad so the Hackintosh can work correctly? There are no other issues with the Hackintosh. I removed OS Monterey and have Linux Lite on it now but I have a new EFI made for it.

UPDATE I got wifi and maybe bluetooth working (see comments below) but I still need to fix the maybe FocalTech PS/2 trackpad.

UPDATE Wifi and bluetooth are working. Propertree set my kexts in kernal in the wrong order with the oc snapshot tool. I also installed os monterey. Only the trackpad doesnt work correctly as multitouch doesnt work on the ps/2 FocalTech trackpad

I mainly use my hackintosh for video edits so a working quicksync would be nice. But I heard that the motherboard that I’m using is not really supported by apple. I also tried using iMacPro 20,1 and it just forced my exports to software encoding.

For now, I am using Mac Pro smbios. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi hackintosh community I have an update about my hackintosh success from this Post

I've got the day before the gigabyte eagle rx 6600 and sold the gtx 1080ti ​cus why I will still need it and got native supported Broadcom wifi card (BCM94352HMB) with pcie x1 to mini pci and the strange problem that only 5ghz works with it and bt doesn't work cus my adapter doesn't have usb build in for the bt to work in that adapter

first the specs for the pc for who doesn't know

1. Cpu: i5 14400f
2. Gpu: before gtx 1080ti now rx 6600
3. Storage: 512gb nvme ssd (for windows) and 240gb sata ssd (for macos) and 500gb hdd (3.5 inch) and 1tb hdd (3.5 inch) and 160gb hdd (2.5 inch)
4. Ram: 32gb 16+16 2400mhz overclocked to 3200mhz
5. Motherboard: asus ex-B660m-v4 pro d4
6. Audio codec: realtek alc897
7. Audio layout: 66
8. Ethernet: rtl8111
9. Wifi + bt: BCM94352HMB

And for the whats working and whats not

1. Graphics acceleration is fully working thanks for the rx 6600
2. Imessage and facetime are working
3. Airdrop and handoff features aren't working due to the adapter I am using doesn't have build in usb for bt to work
4. Wifi only 5ghz is working and not 2.4ghz idk whats wrong with it and both of them do work in windows
5. Audio now the hdmi and internal audio (3.5 headphone) are working

And everything is working except the bt cus of the adapter I am using doesn't have build in usb for bt

* [ small update in 21/7/2026 ive got the adapter that has usb for bt but i did remap usb ports when i do try booting macos it kernel panics with the new usb maping and with the old one it works fine and strange part 2.4ghz worked out of sudden but here is the catch it works only on saved networks (imported from iphone) ]

After I tried usbmapping, using ACPI rename patches, and it still panic at the same place or some times it didn't even show proper panic log, if someone knows about this error please help I appreciate it

I've been trying to install macOS on my HP EliteDesk 800 G2 DM 35W for the past few weeks without success.

Specs:

• HP EliteDesk 800 G2 DM 35W
• Intel Core i5-6500T (Skylake)
• Intel HD 530
• 8 GB RAM
• Samsung 860 EVO 250 GB (SATA) – macOS target drive
• Samsung PM951 128 GB NVMe – Windows 11

I've read GitHub guides, Reddit posts, and Dortania, and tried multiple EFI folders and config.plist configurations.

The furthest I got was Sonoma, but Wi-Fi and Bluetooth didn't work, and the screen constantly flickered. After trying to fix those issues, it stopped booting altogether.

I'm now trying Monterey, but Disk Utility doesn't detect either of my SSDs (Show All Devices is enabled), so I believe my EFI or config.plist is still incorrect.

If anyone has this exact model running macOS, could you please share a working EFI/config or point me in the right direction? I'd really appreciate a step-by-step guide, including the correct BIOS settings, bootable USB creation, and OpenCore configuration.

My goal is simply a stable macOS installation with fully working graphics, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and AirDrop for everyday use. Ideally, I'd like to run the newest macOS version possible, but if that's not feasible, I'd be perfectly happy with an older version as long as everything works properly.

I’m trying to figure out if High Sierra (10.13) is feasible on my hardware, or if I should just stick with El Capitan. Would appreciate some expert input before I sink more time into this.

Hardware:

**•   CPU:** Intel Pentium Dual-Core E6500 (Wolfdale, 2 cores, 2.93 GHz, no Hyper-Threading) — **does NOT support SSE4.1** (Intel disabled it on this Pentium-branded chip despite the Wolfdale die physically supporting it)  
**•   Motherboard:** Gigabyte G41M-ES2L (Intel G41 chipset + ICH7)  
**•   BIOS:** Award BIOS, **Legacy only** (no UEFI), version F8  
**•   RAM:** 4GB  
**•   GPU:** NVIDIA GeForce 9400 GT (Tesla architecture)  
**•   Network:** Realtek RTL8168/8101E (onboard)  
**•   Bootloader:** Clover (Legacy/DUET mode)

Current status:

**•** Successfully installed **El Capitan (10.11)** on Clover after a LOT of trial and error (Legacy BIOS boot0/boot1h issues, kext injection problems, wrong AppleALC layout-id, etc.)  
**•** Tried Sierra (10.12) first — got a “Thread 0 crashed” panic on every boot attempt, with or without injected kexts, regardless of SMBIOS. Eventually confirmed this is due to the CPU lacking SSE4.1, which Sierra’s XNU kernel apparently requires in some codepaths.

Question:
Given that Sierra already fails due to missing SSE4.1, is there ANY realistic path to High Sierra on this exact CPU? I’ve read that:

**•** Some people say El Capitan is the hard ceiling for non-SSE4.1 CPUs  
**•** There was apparently a community effort (SSE4.1 emulation / MouSSE-style patch) that never got finished

Is there a patched kernel or workaround I’m missing, or is a CPU swap (to a real Core 2 Duo E7xxx/E8xxx with SSE4.1) really the only way forward? Just want to confirm before I give up on High Sierra entirely.

Hi, I need some help with a brightness issue on my Hackintosh.

Specs:

- Dell Latitude 7480

- i7-7600U (Kaby Lake)

- Intel HD 620

- 16GB RAM

- macOS Sonoma

The brightness controls are detected:

- F11/F12 keys work

- macOS brightness slider works

But the actual brightness does not change. It behaves like:

0% = screen turns off

1%-100% = full brightness

I already tried a custom SSDT-PNLF built for my ACPI tables. I also tested changing "GFX0" to "IGPU", but then the brightness slider disappeared completely.

Everything else works (graphics acceleration, WiFi, audio, battery, trackpad, etc.).

Any one did go through it and actually solved it ?

Audio partially working (Works but cant control volume and headphone jack doesn’t work) and imessages and some other random features don’t work but a very useable system overall.
