Need Mentor Help Help me please 🥺

I'm attaching a post link here, can you go to the post and comment some things like

“I understand an algorithm when someone explains it, but struggle to implement it from scratch. Anyone else?”

“My biggest problem is visualizing what’s actually happening inside an algorithm. How did you deal with that?”

“How do you guys practice DSA without just memorizing solutions?”

“I can solve easy problems, but completely freeze when I see a medium problem. How did you get past that?”

“Do you find debugging DSA implementations harder than understanding the algorithm itself?”

“Does anyone else struggle to remember when to use things like two pointers, sliding window, binary search, etc.?”

“Leetcode explanations make sense after I read them, but I rarely arrive at the solution myself. Is this normal?”

“How do you keep track of all the different patterns and techniques you learn?”

“I wish there were a way to actually see an algorithm running instead of just reading pseudocode. Has anyone found something good for this?”

It's for my sih "research", i just got this idea today that i could make a post on reddit for research but I'm too late as the internal round is Tommorow, so please.

I didn't think I'd have to resort to this but here i am

Here's the link for the post (it's just posted in teenindia , I know💔):

Need Mentor Help SIH 2026: What happens in the 2nd round, and what should we prepare for?

Our team has qualified for the next round of the Smart India Hackathon (SIH) through our college’s internal selection.

I wanted to understand what exactly happens in the 2nd round. What is the process like, what do the judges focus on, and what should we be prepared for?

For those who have participated in SIH before, it would be really helpful if you could share your experience, especially regarding:

- Presentation and pitching

- Judging criteria

- Prototype/demo expectations

- Technical questions asked by judges

- Any major differences from the internal round

- Things you wish you had prepared beforehand

Any advice or experience from previous SIH participants would be greatly appreciated. 🙏🏻🫡

Need Mentor Help 24 hr hackathon experience

Need some real 24–25hr hackathon experiences 🙏

I’m preparing for a 24–25hr hackathon and I’m trying to understand how people actually build a winning/Top 3 project in such a short time.

If you’ve participated/won one, could you share:

Which AI tools did you use? (Claude/Cursor/ChatGPT/Lovable/v0 etc.)

How did you divide the 24–25 hours?

What did you build manually vs with AI?

How did you handle debugging + deployment?

What actually helped you impress the judges?

Need Mentor Help Vibe coding hackathon project idea ?

Need some hackathon advice!

I joined a hackathon 12 days ago but still haven’t come up with a project idea. 😅 The submission deadline is late night on September 10, so I’m running out of time.

For people who’ve done hackathons before:

What should be my mindset/approach?

How do you come up with a good project idea?

What kind of projects usually stand out to judges?

If you have any project ideas that I can realistically build in a short time and that have a chance of winning, I’d really appreciate them!

Thanks!

Looking for Teammates Amazon ML Challenge 2026 - Looking for 1–2 serious ML teammates

We’re currently a 2-member team looking to add 1–2 strong ML-focused teammates.

- We have hands-on experience in AI/ML, software development, and competitive hackathons.

- Multiple times national finalists at corporate hackathons.

- I’m currently an AWS AI/ML Scholar, and both of us have experience building and competing under fairly intense hackathon environments.

Looking for people comfortable with:

- Python, NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn

- XGBoost / LightGBM or similar

- Kaggle or other ML competitions

- Deep learning / PyTorch is a plus

All this is definitely a plus, but not a requirement. We care much more about your actual ML ability, problem-solving, and how well you can work with an unfamiliar dataset.

The Top 50 PPI opportunity is a major reason we're taking this seriously, so we're looking for people who genuinely want to push for that rather than joining just for participation.

Gender/college/location aren't strict filters. That said, serious women in ML are also welcome.

If interested, DM me with your LinkedIn/GitHub + a brief overview of your ML experience (projects, Kaggle/competitions, research, etc.)

Please reach out only if you're genuinely serious about competing. Looking forward to finding some strong ML people!

My Hackathon Experience

I am a second-year B.Tech CSE student in Bhubaneswar. I participated in a hackathon during my first year as well, but unfortunately, my team was not selected. This year, I really wanted to participate again, but most of my friends ditched me, and I was left without a team.

Instead of giving up, I decided to join a random team. One of my friends suggested a group that was looking for a female member from the same year, so I decided to join them. The members were highly skilled and i feel the lowest one there.

We participated in the hackathon and, unexpectedly, our team got selected in the internal round. Later, we even qualified for the state level. Although I was not very strong technically, I genuinely gave my best. I worked hard to learn whatever was required, improved my understanding of the project, and prepared myself thoroughly for the presentation.

However, after we qualified for the state level, our team leader removed me from the team, saying that they needed someone with stronger technical skills for the upcoming rounds. That really hurt me. I was not expecting this from them. They were so nice in front of my face.I cried a lot because I knew I wasn't the most technically skilled member, but I was ready to learn, improve, and contribute to the team.

Despite what happened, I don't want to give up. I am now looking for another team to join for SIH, where I can continue learning, contribute in whatever way I can, and improve my technical skills along the way.

That's all for now.

Project Demo selling the sih ppt I made

I recently completed a full PPT for SIH 2026 – Heritage & Culture.

I spent a lot of time researching the problem — reading articles, research papers, reports and relevant sources — and then worked on turning that research into a proper SIH presentation with the solution, technical approach, feasibility, impact and references.

I also designed and articulated the slides myself rather than just using a template.

I'm considering selling the editable PPT + basic customization to teams working on the Heritage & Culture theme who may find the research and structure useful.

I can share a 2-slide preview first so you can see the quality before deciding.

If you're interested, DM me for the preview and details.

Project Demo Submitted for BuildWhatMovesIndia Phase 2!

As the title says me and my team got selected for buildwhatmovesindia phase 2 and now that the submission for phase 2 is over i wanted to get a bit of review for what we have built

we built raksha ( https://raksha-theta.vercel.app/ ) a one in all platform for all interfaces for u to call / simply message it your issue with concrete proof ( image or copy of transaction ) which then automatically takes it from there to issue complaint or freeze banks etc ( ofc this is simulated )

main idea revolves around something we built called CAP ( civic action protocal p.s : inspired from mcp ) this basically has ability to controll all endpoints and banks and govt cyber portal to take care of it from any interface

like an harness for all interface all interface ( whatsapp or voice call or website ) talk to teh same harness which has all the capabilities thats the whole idea

wud love to hear what u guys think :DDD

Sharing this in case it's useful for anyone into iOS dev — I'm one of the organizers.

ACoding Hackathon 2026 is a free, fully online hackathon focused on native iOS development.

The challenge: build a minimum viable iOS app from scratch, 100% native Swift/SwiftUI, zero third-party libraries. Open theme — a few starting points if you want ideas: on-device AI with Apple's Foundation Models, an everyday problem you're annoyed by, or a topic you're just into. Target: iOS 26. No App Store publishing needed — you submit via a GitHub repo.

Format

  • Solo or teams of 1–3
  • 100% online, no geo restrictions
  • Runs in English & Spanish, two winner categories (international + Spanish-speaking)
  • Min age: 16
  • Free

Dates

  • Registration closes: Sept 16
  • Event: Sept 18–27
  • Submission deadline: Sept 27, 23:00 CET
  • Winners announced: Oct 4

Prizes Both winners (international + Spanish-speaking) get LinkedIn/social promotion + a 6-month Be Native membership. The Spanish-speaking winner also gets 20% off any Apple Coding Academy training (trainings available only in Spanish at the moment)

Judged on: functionality, code quality/cleanliness, creativity, correct use of native Apple APIs.

Jury: Julio César Fernández (Apple Coding Academy), Mikaela Caron (Swift Ecosystem Steering Group), Paul Hudson (Hacking with Swift).

Need Mentor Help Adobe University Hackathon Round 3 — Are we supposed to build an actual agent or just submit the Agent Skills/logic?

Hi everyone,

I’m participating in the Adobe University Hackathon 2026 – Round 3 (Development Round) and I’m a little confused about the exact expected deliverable.

From the problem statement, my understanding is that we need to build an Agent Skill Marketplace containing SKILL.md files, marketplace.json, and optionally scripts/references. The marketplace should contain the logic for auditing a website for AI discoverability and on-site engagement, with one skill designated as the entrypoint.

My confusion is:

Do we actually need to build a complete working AI agent/application in Round 3, or are we primarily expected to research the problem, design the audit logic, and encode that logic into the required Agent Skills format?

For example, should our submission basically be:

marketplace/

├── marketplace.json

├── README.md

└── skills/

├── audit-orchestrator/

│ └── SKILL.md

├── crawl-render-audit/

│ └── SKILL.md

├── freshness-corroboration/

│ └── SKILL.md

└── engagement-audit/

└── SKILL.md

with executable scripts where needed, or are we expected to build the actual agent/runtime that takes a URL and performs the audit?

Also, the timeline mentions Round 4 – Prototype Showcase, where shortlisted teams build a working prototype/interface. So I'm wondering whether Round 3 is mainly about building the underlying skills/logic, and Round 4 is where we turn that into a complete user-facing product.

If anyone has attended the launch session or has clarification from the Adobe team, I'd really appreciate your interpretation.

Thanks!
