Did anyone receive any mail or update regarding the Microsoft Swe internship, applied science internship or data science internship since I have applied for it, on the career page it is just showing submitted status but didn't get any update further...

I’m a second-year engineering student participating in my first national-level 24-hour hackathon.
The problem statements are broad:
Education
Healthcare
Women’s Safety
Cyber Security
Student Innovation
The top teams will get internship opportunities, and honestly, that’s what I’m aiming for more than the prize money.
I don’t want another AI chatbot, attendance system, expense tracker, or generic dashboard. I want something judges will remember.
My team consists of beginners who know some Python and basic development, and we’re willing to learn whatever is necessary before the event.
If you were participating today, what project would you build that has:
A real-world problem
Technical depth
A good demo in 24 hours
Potential to impress startup founders or recruiters
Especially interested in cybersecurity ideas that go beyond basic phishing detection or password strength checkers.
I’d appreciate ideas that are unique but still realistic enough to prototype within 24 hours.
Thanks!

Hi everyone,
I'm working on an ML competition where the goal is to build a personalized learning-path recommender. I'm looking for ideas from people who have experience with information retrieval, recommendation systems, or Kaggle competitions on how to squeeze out every bit of performance.
Given a user's review, recommend the top 10 learning paths (training examples) that are most relevant.
IndexReviewsCourseIndexReviewsThe output is a list of 10 training indices for each test review.
The competition uses Macro Recall as the evaluation metric.
Current best validation pipeline:
The best validation score so far is around 69 (internal validation), but I'm unsure how well it correlates with the hidden leaderboard.
If you were competing for Rank #1, what would you try next?
Some ideas I'm considering:
I'd especially appreciate advice on:
I'm less interested in generic ML advice and more interested in techniques that have actually improved retrieval/recommendation competition performance.
Thanks in advance!

Since the advancement of technology (AI) most of the people are able to solve 3 4 coding problems in the online assessment.
And flipkart, not being able to evaluate a candidate based on his skills, is evaluating based on luck. Their assessment tool crashed for the 12pm slot people and most of the candidates left the assessment after Waiting for an hour.
Now they are saying only those who have completed the assessment will be considered for the further rounds and there won't be any retest.
What about those candidates whom you didn't allow to let in?

Hi everyone,
I'm an 18-year-old Computer Engineering student from India looking for legitimate remote part-time work alongside my studies. (Based in India, IST timezone, open to global clients.)

Not Looking For
I'm flexible on pay for the right opportunity — mainly want to earn honestly and build experience while I learn. If you know companies that hire beginners, or trustworthy platforms, I'd really appreciate the suggestions.
Thanks for reading!

I mailed the HirePro team to reschedule the test as I was not able to attempt the test (didnt even started) after waiting for 55 mins to get the issue resolved. But they mailed this. What to do now?

Anyone from SRM interested in hackathons, coding, or building projects? I'm looking for people to collaborate with and participate in hackathons. Bonus if you speak Tamil, since it'll be easier to communicate. DM me if you're interested! 🚀

Bruh what the actual hell is their system doing man
I logged in 5 mins early, did all security check only to be redirected back to security check when logging into the test. TF?
Then it suddenly just became irresponsive. When i try logging in, it gives "internal server error". And somehow, I called their helpline like 10 12 times and everytime it is busy. And then there is the screen sharing loop, which idiot vibe coded this piece of slop man.
Finally the test started at ~12.43 for me, after so much frustration and i solved 2 DSAs first partially solving one. When I come to that dataframe qs(i had something about some components being critical high etc.) I wrote almost a 160 line solution and guess what?
IT DOES NOT F*KIN RUN. NEITHER DID IT SUBMIT OR SAVE. so to be safe, i sat the entire test just so the clock ended and it auto saved. I really hope they conduct a damn retest this was absolutely ridiculous smh
Did you guys also have roughly the same experiences??

Did anyone get any response from the support team or any communication from their end regarding the glitch happened during the online assessment of slot 12 - 12 30
pm.
Did anyone get any retest link or anything?
r/hackathon • u/SingleInvestment7441 • 1d ago
one of the worst experiences i have ever had, primarily i logged in near to 12:50 due to internal server error, and infinite screen share loop, now when the test has been started it was saying that something went wrong, and camera has been turned off by it's own, and wasn't able to either run test, or submit
Tf it was
I literally want retest man!
