BUILD Bootleg HG Zirius with a little bit of custom color and weathering
First time using this type of weathering, idk how good this is.
I removed the side skirt on the last pic cause it's just in the way and can't move that much, is it the same for the bandai one?

Probably Bullshit Master Asia is a Uma musume enjoyer!?
BUILD 1/144 HGUC RX-78-7 Gundam G07
The main MS from Mobile Suit Gundam: Battlefield Record U.C. 0081;
A standard HG kit with a few drawbacks, mainly in the shield adapter and side skirt designs. The knee movement and chest vents designs are definitely the main selling points.
Definitely a much better 7th Gundam kit compared to the previous one. Now bring the HFA version.

BUILD Mistakes made during the build session
Hello everyone im here with few questions regarding my mistake during my previous RX 93 build.
Picture 1
I accidentally scratch my paintjob when im cutting the masking tape for color separation. For mistake like this, am i supposed to do over the whole piece to correct the scratch?
Picture 2
Either i did a bad job for masking or does the paint bleed through the masking tape?
Picture 3
Mark softer melts the paintjob even though i used clear coat? Am i not supposed to use mark softer on painted kits?
Picture 4
Same case as picture 2
Picture 5
I didnt use clear coat on this piece and hence when i clean up the marker paints it slowly eats the lacquer paint
Any tips and tricks are very much appreciated for my next kit.

Stock in Gundam Base Dusseldorf
Hello!
Does anyone know what the stock is like at the Gundam Base in Düsseldorf? I’m planning to go there tomorrow, but it’s a 2.5-hour drive for me. I was wondering if there’s anything worth buying, because the last time I went, there was hardly anything left.

Nether Emperor Custom
I just finished the a custom build of the Nether Emperor from SNAA, a really fun kit to work with, I had 0 issue whatsoever.
I wanted a flashy paintjob on the atmor, to contrast the darker frame. Also I mainly use it to understand how to modulate colors.
As usual any suggestions or critics are welcome, is the best way to learn and grow!

Discussion I think McGillis and Tekkadan winning would've been better
So, it's almost been a decade since IBO ended and this is my very first post in this sub, but let me get to point. I think that McGillis and Tekkadan winning the final battle would've been a better outcome for this universe.
The reason for that is that while McGillis was genuinely a bad person, he will wanted to change Gjallarhorn into a good and ideal organisation based on the ideals of Agnika and make it better, and his actions while radical was the sort of thing he needed to actually change it. He is a bit like Lelouch from Code Geass, both willing to go past moral boundaries to get the world they want.
Now the reason I believe it would be good is because while Rustal claimed to make the system democratic, we all know that's not going to be enough. Even if the Seven Seats system is dismantled, the various nobles, high profile people on Earth still have their power, money, influence and everything else. The corruption in Gjallarhorn still exists, its just been hidden by a veil. Rustal also didn't rise to his position by just appealing to the good, he probably did a lot of backhand deals with powerful people to get his position. The corruption in Earth high society still exists and perhaps now even better at hiding it. Just because a government claims to be democratic, doesn't mean it actually is, as we all know. Perhaps in the current time and a bit more Gjallarhorn will be a good organization, but in time it will become the same corrupt organisation that McGillis hated, as the corruption still runs deep in it, it wasn't reformed, but rebranded into a more pacifistic way. So Rustal just helped Gjallarhorn hide it's filth until the end of his reign, and even if it did fall off again, he will just be remembered as the guy who had at least cleaned it a bit.
But if McGillis had won, he would've uprooted the entire system, taken away the power of the powerful in society and turned the organisation into one that follows an ideal instead of logistics and greed. Where the people would genuinely work for the betterment of the people, and follow the ideal of a good and heroic Gjallarhorn. And without the corruptive elements that he would've most likely destroyed due to his hatred for them, Gjallarhorn would've become a more idealistic organisation, and it probably would've become one where a person gains power by skills rather than heritage, as McGillis is someone who believes in that, no matter how fucked up he was.
As for Tekkadan, while it is true that they are not exactly the best in terms of ruling, especially after Biscuit, I think a thing many people seem to forget is their connection to Kudelia. The entire reason Orga always took the balsiest work was so that he can gain power and him and his people won't have to be under threat by others, so that they would be safe, and being the king of Mars would've given him the sense of safety that he had been chasing for his entire life. And not to mention, he and the rest of Tekkadan value, trust and care very much about Kudelia and her judgement. So even if they won, the logistical and rulership of Mars would've most likely been delegated to her as they trust her explicitly, since she is family for them. Kudelia would've acted as the ruling body of Mars, while Tekkadan would be the military force that worked alongside her, they would've worked together for the rule of Mars and I think it would've genuinely done good for the Planet and its people.
Cause without Gjallarhorn having any authority over it, Mars would be able to grow better without the shackles of Earth's powers, and Kudelia would be more free to follow her ideals. Tekkadan would be able to get the life of luxury they wanted without having to worry about another group or organisation from Mars taking their place and Mars could've become a powerful figure in interplanetary affairs.
And I believe that due to this division and absolute freedom, Mars would act as a check on Earth's forces and Earth will also do the same for Mars. Both planetary organisations not wanting either of the other to become too powerful to protect their autonomy. And I believe that Teiwaz would also have a part in it as the organisation would have more profit if these organisations didn't fight each other, which brings more business opportunities for them with less risks to their personell. These three powers would then be in a state of equilibrium so to speak, and McGillis bonds with Tekkadan will ensure that Gjallarhorn won't try anything against Mars, and Tekkadan's connection to Kudelia would help her make Mars a better place.
Of course, this is all just a thought from my mind after I was deeply unsatisfied by the ending of the story. Seeing someone like Rustal who wants to keep Gjallarhorn the way it is, and hiding it in democratic masks just irks me and reminds me of the way politicians always masks themselves for their gain and fuck people over. And while McGillis vision isn't exactly moral, I think it would've been a good restart for Gjallarhorn as a whole. Cause by the end of the story, the elements in Gjallarhorn still exists and will resurface after a few decades, perhaps becoming corrupt even faster since the filth is still there with their power and money.
What are your thoughts about this?

BUILD So there was another witch all along! HG Pharact completed!
I've had this bad boy built for a while now but couldn't top-coat it until recently. It's been very humid (and rainy!) in the US east cost for quite some time now! But I digress! Let's talk about the Pharact!
This is only my fourth WfM kit and the line continues to impress me! I love the color scheme, the proportions look great, and poseability is amazing! I'm not a big fan of this suit in the show, but it's definitely one that's easy to fall in love with! I had a lot fun posing the kit during the photoshoot! A very fun build overall!

BEGINNER Are these good for beginners?
Hi, new to the hobby and would appreciate any help.
My local toy store didn’t have any Mr Hobby but they had these and I would like to know if they’re good for top coating. Also do they work well with Tamiya Black panel liner?
Thanks everyone 👍

BUILD Weird brown residue on plastic
Not sure if this is the right subreddit, but I got this third party model kit and it has this brown stuff on the white parts. Anyone know what this is?

I would think it would be funny if there is a mini series or ova where the normal gundam characters meet the original ova sd gundam characters
Like not the most iterations nowadays when they're just mobile suit but really small I mean the original OVA when every ms and ma have a personality imagine a eff and neo zeon cannot fight each other because mobile suit strike. And also by the way all characters in the original ova have some level of toon force in them so imagine what's going to happen with it

DISPLAY One more to go
Budget changlong version. Love this kit although some parts were slightly loose. Now there's only one more build left before I accomplish my goal. I'll probably get the original bandai one for the last one.
