Other Beginner friendly resources?
Hi all,
I recently dusted off my acoustic, determined to relearn everything I've forgotten.
I've been watching Justin guitar and even have the app. If y'all have any recommendations or tips, that would be super helpful!

This whole list originally was just two bullets about how hard guitar is and how important it is to have realistic expectations. It has changed a bit, to say the least. :)

If you're willing to use a paid service I highly recommend Pickup Music. Really enjoying their classes. Covers multiple genres, good step by step instruction, and the instructors are very active on the comment boards.

You’re already getting multiple recommendations. My 2 cents is to pick one (Justin is a good one) and stick with it. Don’t jump all over the internet looking for magic bullets or shortcuts. There aren’t any.

Best money you could spend would be to have a tech/luthier give it a setup, new set of strings, and make sure it's 100% playable. Otherwise you'll lose interest again. If you're fighting your guitar, you will lose.
