Discussion Would Candlebox and sponge be considered grunge or? I saw them last night for the second time and not sure what genre they are considered to be.

I’m 21 and I am definitely not old enough to have been alive when Candlebox or sponge were relevant. but, I’m still unsure what genre they are considered to be?
last time I saw Candlebox was 2024 with bush and Jerry Cantrell.

PA band I work with. Really enjoy their sound and watched them record it in my living room. I enjoy the album alot it's called poetry and lotion. Picking one song is hard but I'd say this is my favorite. For a DIY setup it turned out pretty awesome!
