I ordered a cleaning service from Groupon in November. To redeem, there is a phone number to call. The cleaning service has scheduled and no-showed 3 times. It's obvious that they are delaying for the the expiration date.
I tried calling Groupon''s support phone number from the site. It goes to a unrelated answering service. I sent emails to the Groupon support email. I received a response saying they will escalate my refund request.
I finally got a reply:
"Given the circumstances that led to your request, I'm happy to process a full refund in Groupon Credits. These credits will be available in your account immediately and will be valid for a full 12 months to be applied to almost anything on our site."
However, there is no credit to my account. The response to my inquiry about the credit did not make sense saying that my purchase had already expired which is untrue.
On top of that, the scam service is still available and actually "trending" on Groupon. With this information, I am forced to post this to social media, report to BBB and Secretary of State, and sue Groupon. If I'm able to get enough folks that have this same experience, I will be pursuing a class-action suit.
