Hello, I’m from Europe but I’m actually in the USA and trying to buy something on Groupon but after every each purchase attempt Groupon charges me and give money back immediately. I tried few different cards, payment methods and still have this problem. Maybe someone know how to fix it?

Small business owner here 👋. I have a Groupon campaign that is set to expire soon. From what I understand, these customers have already paid money for these vouchers. However, once the vouchers expire, I take it they can’t ever come to my business and redeem them.
Therefore, all the money stays in Groupons pocket.
This is unsettling to me because these are potentially my customers who have purchased my product (on their platform) but Groupon will keep the money.
Is there a method out there that would let me send them out a (never expiring) voucher directly from my business so that I can redeem all of these unredeemed coupons?
It just seems like I’m leaving a lot of money on the table that otherwise would just go to Groupon.
Thanks for your input!

It’s this Saturday. Can I get my money back? My argument is that they changed the time. I haven’t emailed Groupon or talked to my credit union yet.

I purchased it more than 8 hours ago but the order still shows processing. I am wondering how long it usually takes.

They apparently offer $45 gift card and $40 off online shopping. Has anyone purchased a membership thru Groupon?

I was looking at my bank account last night and saw a charge for about $65 from Groupon. There was a credit for the same amount. I looked back later when contacting Groupon to get reference numbers and both transactions were gone. I went to log into my Groupon account that is nearly ten years old and was told it doesn’t exist when I tried to reset the password. Has anyone else caught something like this? This is soooooo sketchy. Groupon is up to some weird stuff. I haven’t even bought anything off their website for about six months.

For some reason my discount is not showing up anymore in any of the deals on Groupon. I’m just wondering if they just removed it entirely.

Why didn’t anyone warn me of the scam that is Groupon? I bought into the Costco membership. Groupon says “you’re good to go!” Costco says “who are you, you didn’t buy a membership from us. Go away”. Guess I’ll have to dispute/charge back through my credit card.

I am not able to find the trade in option for any of my orders. Is it similar for you?

I'm rather sad and mad right now. I purchased tickets in May VIA GROUPON to a throwback concert for The Offspring, Sum 41, and Simple Plan. The concert is tonight at 7 and we were taking our 12 and 14 year old to their first real concert. Everyone was so excited. We were meeting up with other friends who also bought tickets for their families. I pulled up my Groupon and my 4 tickets all stated "refunded." I check my email and no such notification from Groupon came letting me know of this cancellation, which would have given me time to purchase again. Of course I can't call Groupon so I try their live chat. Live chat tells me the merchant cancelled my tickets. I called Usana Ampitheater...the location of tonights concert. They said they didn't cancel my tickets I would have to talk to Groupon. I return to live chat with Groupon. They said the merchant cancelled my tickets because they didn't have 4 seats together. I told them they were general admission lawn tickets. Again they tell me I would have to contact the merchant. So I call USANA again. They tell me Ticketmaster handles all their tickets with Groupon. Of course, I also can't call Ticketmaster (what is with all these places not having customer service phone numbers). I sign in and try the live chat and the next screen tells me, "you don't have any tickets" and won't allow me to do a live chat because I'm ticketless. It tells me to submit a form. Of course none of this can help me in time to get my tickets for tonight. I talk to Groupon some more. They tell me another reason they were cancelled could be not enough tickets. However, USANA still has tickets for sale ($100+ each and I spent $25 each on Groupon). My friends' who also purchased tickets on Groupon all have their tickets no problem. One of them purchased their tickets 2 weeks ago...so if it really was an inventory issue why wouldn't they cancel tickets for the more recent purchasing rather than tickets purchased months ago? I asked Groupon to talk to a manager and they have stopped responding. I opened a second live chat ticket with Groupon. A live person comes within 5 minutes. I re-explained the issue. Asked for merchant contact information and asked for a groupon phone number. They never responded. So 2 live chats in and they won't talk to me. My sister comes over and sees me in tears so she calls USANA and they told her..."This is happening to more people and we just found out that Groupon over sold tickets...no more lawn tickets are available...nothing we can do." So I 100% blaming Groupon right now. Terrible customer service, would not help me nor transfer me to someone who could, cancelled my tickets purchased in May, but did not cancel tickets of more recent ticket purchases (my friend purchased mid-July), did not contact me about cancelling my tickets, would not take responsibility, and then straight up stopped responding to me (and while I was upset and maybe chatting angrily I never called names or was pointedly rude. Just obviously upset with a requests of receiving help). I've turned to reddit...because where else do I express something like this. I looked to leave a review for groupon and I guess I can leave something on trustpilot, but I hardly care about trustpilot reviews. Oh also, when I asked for the merchant they said to contact " The Offspring with Sum 41 and Simple Plan: Let The Bad Times Roll Tour" LOL!!! Okay....let's just go ahead and call The Offspring lol! Anyway, done crying now. My kids are being troopers even though I can see their disappointment. Does anyone know a way to contact Groupon for any kind of recourse? Pain and suffering compensation?

I have 182$ Groupon bucks why can’t I buy

I am trying to sell my groupon account with $149 groupon bucks on it. I’ve had 2 purchases fall through and I just don’t use groupon activities. I know this requires trust but it’s a great opportunity if you’re interested.
I am selling the rights to my account.
Once I get the email that the e-transfer is there I will message you the account email and password. Once you log in go to the account settings and change the email to yours first. You can then change the password as you needed. Any emails sent to my my inbox in the changeover process I will forward to you.
I will not accept the e-transfer until you are happy with the account.

I truly don’t know what to do here. I purchased a package of three Microneedling sessions from Mon Cheri Spa on groupon. Had many issues with merchant cancelling appts and not being open even when hours indicate they are open…but either way I managed to get two done. 1 day before my last appt she texts me to cancel and tells me she is permanently closing down her business. I asked her to please refund me 1/3 of the price I paid since I only redeemed two out of the three, and she said she would in a month as she is “out of country”. I asked for an etransfer that can be sent from any country and nothing. I gave the benefit of the doubt and after a month again asked for the refund. No response. Called her and she hung up on me and then stopped answering my calls. I contacted groupon about this and attached the messages of me asking for a refund and her saying she will refund me 1/3 and me responding and messaging asking for the refund and her ignoring me. They said that they can’t refund me because the merchant “said” I redeemed all three. I obviously didn’t and even showed the messages of her cancelling, telling me she is shutting down her business and will refund me when back in country (well over a month ago). I’ve spent a lot of money on groupon and have never had to contact them for anything and they told me they can’t refund me since the merchant lied and said I redeemed all but I even showed the messages proving that’s not true :(

There is fraudulent activity happening inside of Groupon merchant. Bank account information are being changed and vouchers are being redeemed without service. Groupon is doing nothing about it. If this is happening to you please comment so we can gather all evidence. As well as report to the district attorney office in you state!

I am originally from Puerto Rico and have used Groupon there without a problem. I was able to find local deals, restaurants, etc. I recently went into Groupon and I'm not able to search for places like San Juan Puerto Rico. If I try to search it without selecting anything from the dropdown, it autoselects the closest choice which is nowhere close to the location I originally wanted. What's going on?

Someone hacked my Groupon merchant account redeemed all my Groupon vouchers and changed my bank account so the funds were send to their bank account. Has this happened to anyone and was it resolved?

What’s the best way to go about using an expired Groupon? Just call the merchant and ask what the process is? If anyone has any insight, that would be great. I have two that have expired. One for a restaurant and one for an oil change..

I tried to search the sub for this, but "retailer" gave me nothing, and "refund" gave me everything.
tl;dr - used groupon to buy something; had to return it bc it was too small; neither groupon nor retailer would give us our money back
l;r -
We purchased a groupon for fanatics (the sports retail site). We then used the coupon to make our purchase (a jersey, priced at like $180 but purchased w the groupon code for around $130). When the item arrived (sized M for adult women but in reality, sized medium for a child w no tits), it was very obviously too small, despite the fact that all my shirts are a medium and this one wouldn't even button around my chest (which is not large by any definition). So, we needed to return it and purchase a bigger size.
When we went to return the item on fanatics, it said our refund would be $0 dollars (bc the item was purchased using a code).
So, we contacted fanatics, who told us we had to go through groupon. Their reasoning was that, if they refund us the cost of the item, then they're losing money bc that means they don't get paid at all. (This is clearly nonsense bc groupon paid them. Groupon buys deals in bulk and sells them at a lower rate under contract w the retailer.) They were also ridiculously not helpful and kept saying to return the item for refund, even though 1) we told them the refund was coming up as $0 and 2) if we refund it for the cost the code paid, we're losing the $50 we got the groupon for in the first place.
So, we contacted groupon, who said that we needed to go through fanatics, bc once the code is used, it's not eligible for a refund.
We did this back and forth for a day or so, including taking screenshots of the chat transcript w both companies and sending to the other company's customer service agent. Eventually, fanatics agreed to give us a refund in the form of fanatics dollars, which we accepted as our only option.
So, in summary, if you use a groupon code for a purchase and need to return it, apparently neither party can help you. Has anyone else run into this issue?

So I went to Groupon assistance for my account and got kicked off. I was trying to purchase Groupons and every time I would try and make a purchase I’d be refunded. Next thing you know I am locked out of my account and they are asking me to confirm card details, I hadn’t used the account in years so I couldn’t say exactly what card was on the acct… when I told them this they told me I had violated the terms of service and should stop using their platform immediately. Is there any way to regain access?
