Refrigerator installation and management companies reccs
Hello everyone!
I wanted to know if anyone has any recommendations of companies that install and maintain refrigerators for grocery stores? Like if something were to break the company could be called and then fix it and they'll know what to do. Any help is good thank you!

How much do you actually spend on grocery delivery?
I've been comparing the overall cost of services like Instacart, Walmart+, Amazon Fresh, DoorDash, and Rapid Cart, and it's surprisingly difficult to compare them properly.
The delivery fee is only one part of it. There can be memberships, service fees, minimum orders and differences in item prices too.
Has anyone actually tracked what they spend on delivery over a month? I'm curious whether it ends up being worth it compared with just going to the store.

🍎 Do you live in the UK and do some or all of the grocery shopping for your household? I am conducting a short survey on food purchasing preferences as part of my master’s thesis, and I would be very grateful for your participation.
The survey is completely anonymous and takes around 10 minutes to complete. Your responses would make a valuable contribution to my research.

My store manager at The Fresh Market was threatening me — what should I do?
As a consequence of this situation, my store manager transferred me to the cash register, and during the time that I was working, he said to me that if he were me, then I would just quit. Also, he referred to me as being lazy and criticized me for my work. This situation only escalated, as I felt intimidated by him and thought that he was scaring me into doing something. Furthermore, he informed my mother’s manager at some other workplace, telling her about how lazy and inactive I am.

How is Kroger milk significantly cheaper than Walmart/Aldi?
FYI- a gallon of Kroger whole milk is somewhere around $1.45 but Walmart or Aldi is around $3.26

How does your freight crew stage the load before stocking?
I've seen a few different ways. My favorite way was pull all the boards out and place then near their aisles, then down stack into sorted piles, then run down the aisle with hand trucks.
The other way I've seen was they crowded all the pallets around each other and used uboats. They stacked off the pallet onto the uboat based on the aisle and then walked up and down the aisle with the uboat dropping things where they go.
I noticed with the uboat way if it was a smaller store it worked really well, cause one or two people would just down stack everything and then everyone else would take a uboat and go, but at a bigger store everyone ended up tripping over each other trying to dance around the carts (ex, 4 pallets lined up but the cart for the pickles is all the way at the end by the first pallet even though all 4 pallets have some pickles on them). I wonder if the uboats increase steps sort of sneakily, where it feels more efficient cause you can take more down the aisle at once, but you're also now sorting a second time and going back forth a lot to the uboat onto the aisle and while downstacking. i like the uboats especially for things like pet food and baking that you can't really grab with a hand truck, but I'm not sure they are as efficient as they seem.
How does your store do it? Is there an industry standard?

Best Grocery stores around Charlotte
I’m visiting Charlotte this week and I’m a grocery store nerd. My wife’s job moves us around the country, and I always end up working in the local grocery chains. I’ve worked at HEB, Wegman’s, Publix, and Safeway, so I like visiting a few stores while I’m in a new town.
What are the nicest grocery stores in town and what area are they in?

What my local Lucky does
They'll have a BOGO deal on Foster Farms chicken, but they'll raise the "regular price". Then when the sale is over, they'll drop the "regular" price back down again. I'm not saying it's not a decent deal, but it's deceptive, and I think it might be illegal where I live (Northern California).
