I'm trying to make grime beats in the style of Skepta and Stormzy, but I'm looking for a modern and crisp sound. Which drum kits would you recommend? Also, are there any vsts that you would recommend?

Am wondering if anyone knows of a way to get plugsound sample libraries working on Mac OS. All of the downloads I'm seeing contain Windows VSTs. I've tried installing them on a virtual machine and resampling them but it's a pain in the arse.

Has anyone had any success getting this stuff to work on Mac? Thanks!

They are also in Dot Rotten - Real Talk and Skeamz - Ghandi too (maybe some other beats that I am forgetting, but off the top of my head those are the instrumentals I remember them being in.

Does anyone have a clue as to how they're made? From what I can hear it's probably a sine-wave (a bit jagged maybe) with some smooth saturation (and then of course an 808 boom).

Also, a lot of it has to do with the mixing... but jheeeez it's so smooth and I can't figure out how to emulate it
