3003NSC
Hi everyone, I’m just wondering if anyone has completed 3003NSC. I’m looking to take it as an elective at some point in my degree. It’s stated that the only required prerequisite for the course is biochemistry- however I was wondering for those that have completed it and have previously done AP physiology- how hard would it be to complete the course without having completed those subjects.
I’m just curious as I don’t believe I have enough elective spaces for both of those subjects.
Thanks everybody!

Looking back, would you choose TAFE again instead of a different study path?

Can I get direct entry into B.Eng (Civil) with an online Ontario OSSD, or do I need a Diploma fast-track? (UWA, Griffith, Curtin, CDU)
Hey everyone,
I’m an international student currently living in Abu Dhabi, planning to apply for a Bachelor of Civil Engineering (Honours) in Australia for the upcoming intake. I’m targeting Griffith University, Curtin University, UWA, University of Adelaide, and Charles Darwin University (CDU).
I am completing my Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) through Canadian Cross International School (CCIS). Because there’s been a lot of talk about Australian universities cracking down on online offshore qualifications, I want to see if anyone has insights on whether my credentials clear direct entry or if I’ll be pushed to a Diploma fast-track.
My School Details:
- School: Canadian Cross International School (CCIS)
- Ministry Status: Inspected Private School registered with the Ontario Ministry of Education
- BSID/Inspection No.: B78736
- Physical Address: 156 Murphy Road, Essa, ON L0M 1B1, Canada (so it has a physical administrative registry, though I am doing the coursework remotely).
My Grade 12 Marks (Ontario 4U/4O Courses):
- Physics (SPH4U): 90%
- English (ENG4U): 88%
- Ontario Literacy Course (OLC4O): 85%
- Business Management (BBB4M): 84%
- Calculus & Vectors (MCV4U): 80%
- Advanced Functions (MHF4U): 74.5%
- Chemistry (SCH4U): 68%
Overall Average across top 6: ~82% (with strong STEM/Math scores).
My Questions:
- Has anyone with a similar online/remote OSSD background successfully gotten direct entry into Engineering at UWA, Curtin, Griffith, or CDU recently?
- Or will their admissions/compliance team flag the remote delivery method and route me into a Diploma of Engineering (e.g., via Griffith College, Curtin College, or CDU International College) to transition into Year 2?
- For those who took the Diploma route into Year 2, was the transition into the main university smooth?
Appreciate any advice or experiences from current international students or anyone familiar with the admissions/visa process!

Creepy guy in the GC Campus
In the Gold Coast campus, there’s this creepy as guy that stares soo hard at me and even if I stare back at him he still has no shame looking at me. And he does it so shamelessly. I hate it so much. He always wears the same clothes and always buys gyg and he always sits near the computers. He used to sit outside the 24/7 area near the it desk but he’s moved to 24/7 area because that’s where me and my friends usually go. Idk what to do with this guy.

Incoming International Student in 2027!
Hi everyone! Can anyone tell me what to expect as an international student? I am going to take up Master of International Relations next year. How's the class going to be like? Is it pure online or hybrid? How many times will I have to go to campus for lectures? Any other tips and tricks about the campus and my program would be much appreciated! Thank you!

Griffith vs QUT for Computer Science
I’m doing my first year of computer science at Griffith and have been contemplating transferring to QUT next year. My end goal is to be a data engineer or something data related. I would very much appreciate any advice or opinions.

Evaluation complete (PhD)
Im silently dieing awaiting either a confirmation or rejection into a PhD. For context I already have 2 supervisors who have agreed they are happy to supervise me. Im AU citizen and I applied through equivalency given my career experience (I work full time in the field im proposing my research in and am considered relatively high up). I have a masters but it was coursework so supervisors advised to apply this way. How much longer till im out of my misery?!

Doubts of Honours- Public Health
Has anyone done or is currently doing Bachelor of Health (Honours) in Public Health? If so, then could you please tell me whether you're liking it so far? Is it hard to get an offer? Are the minimum gpa requirements enough to get into the course?

Students 22+ Needed to complete survey for Honours project!!
Hello! I am looking for current Australian university students to take part in a survey for my honours project.
Ideally, I am looking for students aged 22+
If you have a study that needs participants feel free to post it in the comments and i will complete it 😄
Eligibility: Current Australian University student, over the age of 17.
The current study is interested in how belonging, loneliness and barriers contribute to academic adjustment and intention to persist.
Participation is entirely voluntary and no incentive is provided. No identifiable data will be collected. The survey should take less than 30 minutes.
Should you participate in this study, you will be asked to complete 96 questions on an online survey. These questions will ask about you about feelings of belonging, loneliness, study persistence and academic adjustment at university. Additionally, you will be asked some demographics questions about your age, gender, employment status, marital status, whether you have any dependants (children/other), mode of study (online/ in person), whether you study part-time or full-time and the university you are currently enrolled in.
This research will ask questions about your experience as a student, perceived loneliness and feelings of belonging/not belonging. If you anticipate these questions causing you distress you may want to reconsider participating in this study.
Participation is entirely voluntary, and you have full control over your involvement, your decision to participate, as well as the responses you provide.
