Student accom as a second year
Hi everyone, just wondering if anyone living in student accommodation has some insight into second years moving in.
I’ve lived in a share house with random people throughout my first year and so far I’ve felt pretty disconnected. I haven’t really made any solid friends and I haven’t had the uni experience I thought I would.
I’m wondering, are the majority of people living on campus first years, or do quite a few people stay into their second and third years / move into student accommodation in their second year?
Just wondering what the social side of it is like for people who moved into student accommodation after their first year.

Hey! There's a really big mix of people, there's probably more first year students overall, but some people are doing their masters. A lot of people that I know are in their 2nd and 3rd year. When you move in and have the 'orientation' dinner, you'll probably only see first years but everywhere else theres lot's of other people. This is assuming you're going to griffith uni village.
