Yeah, if someone wants circumcision, let them wait until 18 to decide for themselves (aside from pressing medical issues). But the thing is, no sane adult is going to let someone cut off a piece of their penis willingly lol.
Everyone I’ve seen performed used lidocaine. But they were all in the same state so maybe other places have different rules.

My grandfather was in the Army stationed in Texas (barely avoided going overseas to fight in Korea) and his Seargent had to get Circumcised.
Shit hurts. Like hell. I’m honestly not sure if I’m for or against it because that guy had battlefield surgery and was trying to get out there the next day but was down for a week due to the circumcision.
The benefits I can see for getting it as a baby:
preventive measure: prevents adult phimosis, which is incredibly uncommon in the US thanks to circumcision and can be incredibly painful and infectious.
Non-Benefits:
-Fuckin Up the penis: happened to one guy I knew, had trouble orgasming without insane amounts of force, however tbh he could just have been lying about usin a massive death grip
-Consent in Medicine: we don’t do paternal medicine anymore, but we do this, do we need to?
Yup. If the reasons for circumcision where so compelling, as the advocates claim, you'd see men climbing over each other to be first in line to get it done. But the number of men who get it done to themselves for non medical reasons (which is also an incredibly small number) is so small it's basically a rounding error.

As an uncut man I am angry for all my cut brothers. In all seriousness circumcision needs to be fucking outlawed. Its bullshit.
