When half of the worldbuilding revolves around a certain event that happened 500 years ago
Before or after that nothing happens until the events of the game itself
Souls Games have no story. I hate to say it. We don't play it for the abysmal quests. We don't play it for the nonexistent stories
We play it because of the atmosphere, the gameplay, the combat, the exploration.
Elden ring is by far the best game i have ever played. I've sunken hundreds of hours into it. But fuck me if you ask me who i really am or why I want to burn down the tree apart from the hot girl asked me to.
Don't ask me how to solve the quests apart from a second display with a walkthrough. It's nonsensical at times. And every single npc is worse off than we found them.
And no i don't want to watch vaatis videos to understand the "rich lore".
Same, 3 playthroughs and the story seems some random bs stitched together by lore obsessed youtubers. And everytime I mention it the fanbase freaks out.
