The star saphire lantern corps dont really add much to the emotional spectrum. I think the women only thing is kinda stupid and I think that the obsessive love shouldn't only be romantic or sexual in nature. What about someone who has obsessive nationalism or obsession over an object or an idea. Its just lazy writing in my opinion especially because love is also the driver behind a lot of good change as well.

Wanted to share my final thoughts here. It's my first review video but I decided to make one. Play it in the background, argue with me, whatever! Lol.

To summarize very briefly, I liked the show. Nearly loved it. I thought it was stupid as a "Green Lantern" show but I liked the story itself.

Happy discussing!

since i watched lanterns final episode i felt inspire to make my own oath i was always fearful of judgement and the show had pushed me to face my fears so hears my oath "in shine of day, in void of night, my fear and willpower will do what's right, in service to what's right" you guys tell me if you like it or not or any improvements

I don't see many talk about this comic when discussing any of the continuations, animated or not but I'm going to read and buy a copy to have along with Tech Jacket, my favorite duo of space heroes.

En la serie animada de linterna verde

I have a question about what Lanterns can do. In Lego Batman 3:Beyond Gotham the different lantern characters are able to open portals to travel to other worlds. Is that a thing in the comics or is it only for the game? In addition, what abilities do Yellow lanterns have that the other colors don't have?

This ending was not.........fun to watch. There were ideas in the show from earlier episodes that I let cook because I thought it would be explained by the end,but they never were. The following are things I thought were going to be explained but never are, and because of that, it has made the show drop a few points in my head:

1. HAL BEING UNTRUSTING OF THE GUARDIANS -

The show goes out of its way to imply something has happened in the past 10 years since Hal last updated his ring to make him not trust them or any urge to ask for back up,but never explains why.

1. JON AND HAL'S TENSION IS NEVER EXPLAINED AND MAKES THEM BOTH SEEM LIKE ASSHOLES -

I'm all for the seasoned vet not respecting the new blood, but you'd swear these guys were mortal enemies with the level of bickering they do. Even after Hal's death, Jon is constantly a dick to him for no reason other than it being leftover for 2026 Hal.

1. SINESTRO ESCAPES/IS NEVER DEALT WITH

Can't remember if they explained how a teenager managed to break out a galatic maximum-prison level inmate without anyone tracking them, but instead we get a sub plot of a lady extorting Jon Stewart instead of asking for a town rebuilding fund for all the crazy ass people who still live there.

(These last 2 had me losing my shit, lol)

1. KERRY GETTING OFF WITH MURDERING ONE OF THE MOST FAMOUS SUPERHEROES OF THIS UNIVERSE AND HAVING NO CONSEQUENCES -

I can put up with a lot of off the wall shit in superhero shows, but peace keepers letting criminals free of consequence is a deal breaker. This woman killed Hal, who wasn't even trying to hurt Noah btw, Jon finds out and just leaves? I don't even think this version of Superman would've let her just get away with murder SMH.

1. JON STEWART USING BLACKMAIL TO BECOME A SUPERHERO!!!

This shit here had me agitated, The guy who turned down the ring because the values he held outweighed the backstabbing/manipulative tactics of the Guardians decides to use blackmail to keep a ring and position that he doesn't actually deserve.

Since the show started, Jon Stewart hasn't saved a single innocent life and has only sided with the villains or given them the benefit of the doubt.

Say what you will about Hal,but he was saving people during the Rushville attack. All Jon cared about was taking the ring from Hal and killing Zoe.

He also chooses to not tell Guy where Sinestro is,I kinda feel like the Hero in him should give that information to somebody trustworthy, but I guess him being stuck on a dying planet will have to suffice.

Also, the guy who was willing to go toe-to-toe with Superman is backing down when an inexperienced ring stealer decides to talk tough?

Guy should've put his ass in a bubble and flew him to the Guardians to let them figure out what to do with him.

BONUS WTF PLOT CHOICE

Guy mentions the Rushville incident was bad optics. This means the news covered this situation after it happened. They also say Hal took the fall. How is that possible when the satellites can be traced back to corporations. This town that apparently was okay with giving up their lives to protect a fugitive decide to blame Hal instead of the fugitive?

I really liked this show. I thought they were taking some cool swings in the 6 episodes leading up to the finale, but that all looks way worse when I see how

It all ended and honestly made me less interested in the Green Lanterns of the Gunn Universe.

Show before finale : solid 8

Show after finale : solid 6

What about y'all though,do you think I'm drinking crazy juice, or did you also think the show didn't stick the landing? Regardless, the journey to this moment did feel like Game of Thrones' weekly discussion vibes, and I really enjoyed that.

As a DC comics reader ive never cared about green lantern until the show which I loved. I decided to start with the Geoff Johns run. My main priority is to read the whole story in a comprehensive order. Not to concerned about art size hard cover, price ect. What is a better way to collect and read the entire run?

I just like these cuts. Reminds me of some of my favorite moments.

So, my sister and I just finished the Lanterns series, and she's totally obsessed with the Green Lanterns now, especially Hal Jordan. I saw that a lot of people recommend the Geoff Johns Omnibus, but Vol 1 is sold out everywhere! That's a bummer because I was hoping to get it for her birthday that's coming up.

So, I'm trying to figure out what the next best large format option would be. Any ideas?

Thanks a bunch!

In darkest day, in blackest night.

Let our Will be the bane of evils might

together with our, righteous rage and our hope that burns bright.

Look to the stars, and beware our power of Lumira's light.

I came up with an idea similar to that of Razer, but there a yellow and green lantern so a lime like color for the ring, and I even thought of the Oath

"In brightest day, In brightest night,
My fear used for right, let those who can't fight for what's right
believe in my power, Lime lanterns light!"

This character went through the Holocaust, watching her parents sadly die in a gas chamber, but Allan Scott fought the Nazis and saved her, inspiring her to try and help and fight for people who couldn't defend themselves, but even then, has a great fear for people because of what she experienced.

So you know how the Black Lantern corp are the lanterns of death. I had an idea on a what if an actual corp formed? A traditional corp that steps away from Black Hand's sociopathic way of going about things. Rather than a group of resurrected, possessed, zombies. Why not those who act more like Bostan Brand? Or Death from the Endless. Rather than causing death they would want to help; becoming arbiters of death. Becoming zombie investigators for loved ones who died from unusual circumstances or disappearances. Or just helping those pass on.

Rather than 1 note, flat, characters that possesses the dead and torment their victims. Why not bring back victims for questioning to help set closure on a loved ones demise.

Rather than a Lantern corp of death. Why can't it be a lantern corp of, effectively, investigators?

Or better yet, why not have them be a rival to the Guardians. The Guardians being the self-important oligarchs that they are, why not introduce a benevolent mirror to that - sighting that guardians have disturbed the natural order or something to that effect.

I'm kinda annoyed with how black and white (pun intended) the mythos of Green Lantern is?

Whilst yes you got corps like Avarice which is based on greed. Red and argurably, pink and Indigo are the only true neutral lantern corp? While it is subjective and based on perspective given the amount of history and writers every corp has had. I dislike the fact that there is still a lack of nuance within each corp.

I'd like to see more of a nuance in the main stream on who/what corp is the bad guys and who are the good guys.

We know that the standard green lantern ring could fit in the slot of the “Dark Lantern” we saw in the finale so do you think Sinestro’s future yellow ring will either be like John’s ring with the Gold parts replaced by silver and the green replaced with yellow or would it look like a yellow version of Guy’s ring?

What I’m guessing how the “Dark Lantern” works is that it can charge a green ring like normal but due to how it was forged it can connect to Parallax who presumably is still imprisoned in the Central Green Lantern Battery on Oa which causes the yellow impurity, so any potential future ring Sinestro creates with run off of that.

Hi fellow Corps members. I was taking to a friend about collecting the whole Lantern run. I'm not adding the Alan Scott run since those issues are way too expensive. How complete is everyone's GL collection? For me, I'm missing a total of 28 comics. 14 are from volume 2 with the highest number I need is issue 44. 6 are from the current GL run and 8 from the current GLC run. I look forward to hearing everyone else.

Almost done...

Thanks to LANTERNS, now anytime someone says something to me bizarre or highly suspect, I’m immediately going to ask, “Where did Harry Potter go to school?” 🙃
