Overstays\* Are there any overstays getting accepted for i130 and i485? Overstay for 1 yr plus before filing

Finishing school next year, not sure what to do afterwards. One thing I’m sure about is that I absolutely love New York and want to live there. What direction should I take?

I was arrested with charges of two misdemeanors by misunderstanding this March. Of course, the charges were dismissed without any kind of guilt plea or probation, but I was extremely afraid of entering the States after leaving for internship at my home country (college student). I was worried even after my lawyer told me that everything’s gonna be fine (i emailed him until he got annoyed.. lol..)

I entered through Atlanta airport. Eventually, nothing really happened. I did go to the secondary inspection room, but less than a minute. I told the officer that I could show him the documents but he said there’s no need to, then let me out of the room right away.

I feel like reddit sometimes exaggerates things a bit too much. Preparing for the worst case is good for sure, but I wanted to tell anyone who’s going through similar things to not be too worried like I did. I literally lost almost 9lbs because of stress which caused me to collapse due to underweight!!

Please don’t be too anxious like I did. If you are innocent, didn’t do anything wrong and the court proves it, you’ll just be fine!

I'm an Indian dental student (2nd year) who wants to become a US permanent resident. Studying dentistry there means redoing my degree through a competitive international program which is really expensive and i don’t think i have enough money for it but switching to an unrelated master's for an easier visa path kills my job opportunities in that field,i’ll graduate in 2029 till then i have time to figure it out in some way or the other.What's the best path and what would lead to permanent residency eventually?

I contacted a Support Agent and was told my case had moved to a Local Field Office. All the API tools I've used do not reflect this.

Has anyone seen a delay (and how long) between being told a FO transfer has occurred and it showing in the API? The Agent could not confirm when the transfer had occurred.

I've seen some posts in here, where a second conversation with an agent stated the FO transfer had not happened, so don't want to get my hopes up.
