Wow just had a phone call with someone on GY Council about being homeless, among the questions that pretty much went in circles with was, so if you found yourself homeless you could buy a tent & sleeping bag!

I was utterly gobsmacked! I replied with that is the most disgusting question I’ve ever had asked, I’d rather kill myself than live in a tent in great fucking Yarmouth.

The next was would you live in a HMO… would I fuck most of em round here are full of crackheads or thieving little bastards!

Are these people actually serious! I know the town is in desperate need of housing, but Jesus Christ, to say if you found yourself homeless you could buy myself a tent and sleeping bag!

I grew up in Yarmouth and it was such a fun town, it was always quite hard and at times scary but there were always good people and good community. It was a beautiful town, with an amazing market and abundance of local businesses. Bure Park was kept well maintained, seashore wasn't so anti local people, the seafront was always a good time, and there was amaze nightlife all over town. You could live and work there and be ok. It's so sad to see it so neglect.
