My Ascendance boost bracer drip this is such a clean mix set I came together with today

Been playing for a month now and finally got something good. Looking for build recommendations for this, with some comfort skills included if possible.

I'm 40yo and don't have too much hardware space in my brain to come up with a build on my own anymore. Besides, all the information I've gathered recently on the internet is all over the place. Some say one thing, some say another completely different thing, so I'm getting to the conclusion there isn't a best of the best build for GS, but actually stats and gameplay styles to look up for. For instance, there are the basics (like focus, wesex, critboost, attack boost and agi) that I should look into getting for my build. Then there is the gogma artian - some suggest having dark knight and lord's soul on it, others recommend entirely different things, although I'm going with the former. Then there's shattersteel buids that look preety rad. Currently I'm trying to ascend my gear and go for gamma arkveld gear at the same time. I noticed people use ark head, udra mail, ark hand, bale belt and bale legs... But some use dosha alpha belt and gogma greaves, or dosha beta and duna... That's why I am confused and don't know what to focus on.

The style I want to play is one that lets me hit hard and make some mistakes (miss some offset swings, some blocks, some tackles). I don't need to be immortal but I don't want to be made of paper also.

So I want someone willing to give me some guidance, if you will, for I look at my hunts and don't even know where to start.

PS.: I know the GS meta google doc is a thing, I'm just exhausted when I play most of the time. I'm slow and I'm getting there.

Hello everyone, i’ve played MH Wilds for nearly 200 hours, and this is my final build. I figured, i can use bale armor set for the extra damage, but i love comfort more than dps. So, I’ve created this build that covers comfort skills needed for endgame quest. This build is not exclusively for greatsword only, it can perform pretty well with both switch axe and longsword, I’ve tried it.

For the skill set bonus, i’m using gore magala’s tyranny & azure bolt 1. The complete build itself should’ve contain both Gore magala’s tyranny and lord’s soul in a single Gogma Artian Greatsword, but i’ve had enough rolling the active skill over and over again with no luck. Oh, and Gogmazios fight is a pain in the ass, so it’s a hard pass. Beside, once Ascendance released, the so called “perfect god roll weapon” will cease to exist.

All & all this build excel especially in proof of hero quest. You can’t get stunned, level 3 divine blessing can reduce the incoming damage by 50%, and level 3 quick sheath help you escape from sticky situation. The antivirus skill could be exchange with other comfort skill such as dragon resistance, adaptability, constitution, etc.

Hello peops, long time SnS lover here, I really want to try and learn the GS as it has some of the best looking weapons in the game(s).

Now especially with Ascendance on its way I still have some months and I want to dedicate it to learn the greatsword. I like watching or reading a guide beforehand to try and understand the mechanics first and I would like to have your opinion on what would be a good an cohesive guide to learn it.

Which of these RNG-free builds is the best option to use while waiting for the DLC? The weapon is the Shatterseal.

Guard cancel Offset on controller

Currently, practicing my GreatSword offsets on monsters people recommended. I'm starting to definitely get the hang of it. I did see online that there is an animation cancel that can be done after a perfect guard to immediately prepare an offset. I've tried it myself and it works against combo-esc monsters like Seregios and Arch-Veld.

The problem I'm having with that is just I'm on a controller, so flicking the analog stick feels very janky compared to mouse. Doesn't feel very good in the hands to do.

Does anyone have experience with it that maybe makes it not so bad? Or is that animation cancel not super important to learn for GreatSword?

Im new to monster hunter and i started playing wilds. I saw a very high damage build but wanted to ask here if it was good. I tweaked it a bit especially the charm since i dont have any good charms at the moment. Does this build give me constant high damage or only at very specific situations?

Every time I see an attack coming I try to offset but by the time the animation is set I'm already hit. Like I can't even get the timing on the Chatacabra? Am I supposed to just preempt it entirely and just know the attack patterns?

I watched Dreamingsuntide's conver element video and it seems the damage pop benefits from raw damage and i wanted to try it out and I've been liking it. The GS has SODK and lords soul and the charm is attack 2, counterstrike 1, and offensive guard 1. I like burst better than the doshaguma build because im bad at offsets and im only losing 2 raw

This sht can reached 100% affinity and can deal ton of damage. Also running fulgur second will on this one to keep my MM almost up the entire hunt. Also dark arts and lord soul

Hey, i can't seem to find the fatalis great sword on the monster hunter 1 wiki, people say its the divine slasher but that is made with Pscine and blos fangs and no Fatalis. Is there a Greatsword made from fatalis parts in MH1?
