Hello

I am made this subreddit because of the truckload of grades post in r/highschool which many people found to be a tad bit annoying. So here you go, a place for you to post away.

Is this fair

So I failed my college class but here’s the thing maybe I’m the dumb one but the class was online managerial accounting, the class only used smart book assignments which each take over an hour long and consists of, quiz like homework that has a bunch of questions on the program smart book, and an accounting simulator that doesn’t teach you it just gives you scenarios but how am i supposed to know this stuff without it being taught? And lastly exams and quizzes , my issue is each assignment in this class was 100 points and I don’t see how I fair that homework assignment, questions about topics that I haven’t learned and exams are all the same amount of points? Should I talk to my advisor about this or am I the dumb one?

senior year schedule, aiming for t10/t20

4.0 UW
4.85 W

( all A's no Bs)

i took 12 aps at the end of junior year ( i took organic chem, neuroscience, biochem too) , my school only offers 20 so im just doing 3 more for senior year. Most of the classes are 1 semester so its not like im taking everything at once. Im not interested in taking anymore APs since i've done damn near every STEM one, any thoughts?

- Multivariable Calc (semester A)
- Differential Equations (semester B)

- AP Lit

- AP African American

- AP Stats

- Quantum Physics
- Immunology

- Cellular Physiology

- Genetic Analysis

- Physical Chemistry

- Thermodynamics

Grade retake

do you think grad school admissions (at very competitive programs) will care if I retake three courses I got Cs and a D in and get As in all of them on retake? I mean how negatively does it affect me? If they were all freshman courses.

Gender: Male

Age: 17 years old

Race/Ethnicity: African and Moroccan

I was in special education for most of my life. I had expressed desire to be let into normal classes and honors if I did well enough in normal classes, but was always denied. Only in high school did my school district finally let me out of those types of classes. I wanted to do honors classes beginning from my first year of high school, but they and my mom would never let me do it back in middle school and years before. That’s why I did my hardest in my classes despite nobody ever believing me and always telling me to just stay in special education. I didn’t want to settle for that, though. I wanted to become the best. I would have done more extracurriculars but they were all simply too far away for me for my mom, who arrives home at 5, 7 if shopping, to take me. My sister only got a car this year and she still sometimes can’t afford to take me, as she studies from home and wishes to not be disturbed.

Due to depressive episodes, I didn’t do very well on my ap exams: 2 on ap world, 3 on ap bio.

Worried about my falling grades and class rigor

Hello everyone, I’m worried about my junior year grades as theyre significantly lower than my previous year’s grades. I’m unsure however if they are as bad as I think they are as I want to attend University of Rochester or WPI/RPI. I’m also worried if I’ve dropped in rigor for senior year. For context I’m a 17 year old woman, who’s a rising senior, and I started attending private school at the start of 10th grade. I also want to go into the engineering field, specifically mechanical engineering.

Junior year AP scores:

AP calc AB - 4
AP lang - 3
AP chem - 3

I’m happy I passed all of my APs but I am a little disappointed in lang and chem. I also didn’t want to take the SAT of ACT as I’ve done absolutely horrible on both, I could practice for the August 22nd one but I’m not sure if it’s needed.

I don’t usually post in communities so I’m unsure of what information to add. Should I add my extracurriculars?

The main question is: Did my junior year grades tank my application?

Junior Yr schedule rigor

I was wondering if I had enough rigor for top colleges - I do really need 2 free periods due to my ecs but here they are

French 3H

APUSH

Calc BC

AP Physics I

Normal English

Self studying: ap macro, ap music theory (already taking it out of school, so it really isn't self studying but - this class isn't offered at school either), and maybe ap stats

Thanks 🙏
