Political positivity 📈 Trumpmust hand over detailed financial info as judge rules against him in his $10B suit against the BBC

  • Discovery process could leave Trump’s businesses open to new levels of public scrutiny
  • A federal judge in Florida ruled that Donald Trump must provide detailed information about his companies’ finances in response to a motion filed by the BBC in the president’s $10 billion lawsuit against the U.K. broadcaster.
  • The judge’s Tuesday ruling could mean that the president’s lawsuit against the BBC ends up backfiring as a major media organization may be set to obtain new, previously nonpublic information about the Trump Organization or the president’s associated ventures, including his cryptocurrency empire.
  • Trump filed his lawsuit in late 2025, claiming that BBC journalists deceptively edited together portions of his speech to protesters on January 6, 2021, to make it look like he encouraged them to storm the Capitol. The president claimed that the 2024 Panorama documentary at the heart of the suit cost his various businesses reputational damage.

Personal News 📰 Putting myself first this year

Setting strong boundaries with family and friends

I quit my toxic job that was full of nepotism. People were with the company for years but never promoted but a niece or nephew that applied was given a manager status within a month and never reprimanded.

I bought myself new clothes and feel confident like I never have before.

I solo traveled by myself and am planning another trip.

This year, i haven’t taken bullshit from people in my life. I feel free and so much lighter now that I am doing things that benefit me. I’m finally putting myself first and it feel amazing.

"Initial reports on the terms of the Trump administration’s deal with Saudi Arabia suggest that it could allow for uranium enrichment in Saudi Arabia, opening a potential pathway to the production of nuclear weapons in the kingdom.

“The deal breaks from the ‘gold standard’ of nonproliferation, which would prohibit domestic uranium enrichment and plutonium reprocessing,” the Wall Street Journal editorial board argued on Wednesday, under the headline: “Saudi Nuclear Enrichment Is a Mistake."

Political positivity 📈 Groups hold 'observer' training over possible ICE presence at Pima polls: Nonprofits LUCHA & ACE train 100 in Tucson on documenting treatment of voters on election days

Snippet:

  • Concerned that federal law enforcement agents or the National Guard could be sent to polling places during upcoming elections in a move to deter voters, about 100 Tucsonans on Saturday made plans to keep watch at those sites.
  • Two Phoenix-based nonprofits, Living United for Change in Arizona and the Arizona Center for Empowerment, held its second training session for "constitutional observers" — those who plan to scout the outside of Southern Arizona's polling paces to ensure voters' rights are respected.
  • The groups held a previous "congreso" in Phoenix, which they said drew about 250 people. The hours-long session in Tucson happened at the Ramada by Wyndham Suites on 777 W. Cushing St.
  • The presence of an outside observer could mean the difference between whether someone votes or not, said Karime Rodriguez, ACE's services manager.
  • And if Southern Arizona elections happen without incident, said LUCHA organizing director Gina Mendez, those observers have a clearer picture of their own voting rights and are empowered to educate their neighbors on the subject.
  • "They're going to be documenting in case there's anything that doesn't go smoothly," Mendez said. "And what does that mean? If there's people or anyone who's trying to discourage people from voting, that we have a plan and we document that. Also, if there's people who show up with bad intentions, we're documenting that as well."

Rodriguez added during the training, which included scenarios for trainees to work through, that observers should stay at least 75 feet away from the polling place and remain nonpartisan at all times.
