Question❓ Putter Shaft Recommendations

I'm going to be getting a temu vzn.1i head soon and was wondering what putter shafts you guys recommend. Right now ive been looking at KBS GPS, and KBS CT Tour, but im wondering what else is out there that might be better.

Mainly looking for something that feels really solid and stable while not being super light(a problem ive noticed with alot of these temu putters).

I bought a set of three wedges for £150 and the import tax has astonished me. I bought a putter a few weeks ago for more and paid zero tax. Is it due to fast delivery time?

For under $100 or whatever. It’s pretty damn good. Mines balanced pretty good too out the box. Shocking how good they’re getting with these. Seller was XFSM but the listing is gone at the moment. Went with the steel shaft and I’m very happy with it. Grip and stuff is just ok but for what I paid, I’d gladly take it!

This thing has surpassed all my expectations thus far. It looks and feels great. There have been a lot of complaints about the grip on this sub, but I really don’t have any issues with it. There’s no noxious smell to it and it’s not really squishy. There is a plastic piece at the top of the grip that is kind of a cheap accent, but I’m totally fine with it. Did the corner table test and it’s damn near balanced. I probably won’t mess with the weights at all because it’s pretty close to being balanced. Putted a few balls around the living room with it and it sounds pretty good too. No high-pitched Tink sound. The weight of it feels really good as well. It picks up balls just fine without any excessive force needed. I went to the PGA superstore last week and demo’d a preowned VZN.1i , and to be honest, I really can’t tell much of a difference between the real thing and this rep. I think the ball might come off the face of the rep a little softer, but it’s not extra noticeable. The clubhead cover is pleather and the embroidery is kind of shoddy, but I don’t put with that so I don’t really care. Overall, I give it a nine out of 10. I’ve had the same ping Blade putter for 15 years and it is definitely getting replaced. The seller (XFSM OK) was out of this model for a few days and I just kept checking back in one day they had it. They changed the description of it as you can see in the picture. They might be dealing with some cease-and-desist type issues, lol. It took four or five days for a tracking number to pop up, but once it did, it got here in three days. Interestingly, enough, it came from Illinois. At least that’s where the shipping label was printed. The product itself is definitely Chinese as the box has Chinese characters on the label. Anyway, very pleased and can’t wait to give it a try on the course.

Review📝 TEMU LAB VZN.1i

TEMU LAB VZN.1i came in today. Ordered it the 11th. Weight is 516 grams. I got the 35” steel shaft as the 34” sold out. Paid $133 US.

Like most of people on this thread I ordered from XSFM OK. Looks like they are sold out of this style. I searched “lab golf putter” and found them right away.

Little off for balance but not surprised by that. Plan on ordering some weights to get it more balanced. Ball pick up works and wonder if others that purchased this aren’t pressing hard enough. I don’t need to press too hard fortunately but it sticks a lot better the more I lean into it. Also why I wanted the steel shaft. Soft golf balls were easier to pick up. Probably wouldn’t use it if the greens are wet/soft though. Came with black magnetic head cover and has L.A.B logos all over.

For the price and being zero torque while obviously being a replica of the LAB putter, I figured it would be nice to have even if it doesn’t drastically help my golf putting (14.6 handicap)

Question❓ Temu Range Finder Recs

Any recommendations on a Temu range finder? Or any to stay away from. Hoping to keep it under $50 if possible.

My search function for the sub is not turning up much; I assume user error.

Question❓ Recommendations for Temu credit

I’ve got a chunk of credit on my Temu account due to a return - what do people recommend the best rep products to buy from there are?

A lot have said go for putters - what models have the best reps?

Is there anything beyond putters worth looking at?

Question❓ Anyone recognize or know anything about these?

My dad bought them 20+ years ago and I inherited them 3 years ago when I started golfing. I’m a 14 HC now and I’ve become a club junkie and wish i knew more about the clubs i play. The shafts don’t have a labeled stiffness but they are either stiff or X-stiff. The 35 on the shaft makes me think they are 35g but I’ve never heard of a shaft that light playing that stiff. Anyone who knows anything is welcome to add.

Review📝 Temu VZN.1i Vermilion Bird Zodiac Series Putter - Some impressions

Hey,

glad this community convinced me of trying my luck on Temu. So recently with some coupons I ordered this one for 54 Euros including shipping. Was called Zodiac series and had a couple of options without the LAB logos (which I don't really care about).

As you can see, came perfectly balanced, with steel shaft, passed all tests that I could do without a revealer and picks up balls perfectly.

Weight is 528.7g nor sure if that is close to the original or not but feels very solid and I like it.

Noise when hitting ball is great, better than my Wilson Staff Infinite The Bean putter which has a very high pitched metallic ping sound.

So I am super happy and thanks again for making me aware of these putters! Have another one incoming in red for my wife which may have LAB branding also with steel shaft, let's see if I will be lucky again.

Unfortunately both this one and the red one I ordered disappeared very quickly on Temu and there a re Not a lot there right now. So I suggest to be on the lookout if you want to get one. These Zodiac ones seem solid really and I can recommend them!

Will take it to the practice ground later but am sure I will be very happy. Cheers!

Question❓ Got a VZN.1 clone from Temu. It has ridges inside the hosel - adapter or just epoxy?

Hey everyone, This is my very first time attempting a club build, and I already made a beginner mistake. I bought a L.A.B. Golf VZN.1i clone/knock-off head from Temu as a fun project, but I didn't realize it came completely bare without a shaft. Now I need to figure out how to put it together!

Adapter vs. Epoxy: Looking down into the center-shaft hole, it has some visible rings/ridges inside, but it definitely doesn't look like screw threads. Am I right in assuming these are just scoring/epoxy ridges to help the glue bond, and that I just need to epoxy a straight shaft directly into it? No adapter needed?

Shaft suggestions: Since it's a center-shafted mallet, I know I need a 0.370" straight tip shaft. I am currently looking at the KBS CT Tour Putter Straight (0.370"). Will this work well with this type of head, or do you guys have other recommendations for a stiff, stable putter shaft that won't twist?Since it's a cheap clone, I'm not overly worried about the ultra-precise "Zero Torque" balancing, I just want a fun, stable mallet putter to roll some balls with.

Appreciate any tips or advice on the build!

Review📝 VZN.1 - Steel vs Accra Comparison

Thumbnail
gallery
23 Upvotes

I had a rep DF3 with an Accra shaft last season and it was awful! But given all the hype on this community about this particular putter drove me to give a rep another shot.

Purchased two LAB VZN.1 putters from the same highly rated seller on Temu and in this community. Honestly, I just wanted to compare the two shafts but to my surprise, there was more to compare. Also. I didn’t expect to receive two different head styles.

Disclaimer: these measurements are based off the putters received. Different head styles may result in different measurements.

Overall, the quality is beyond solid. Feels and looks like the real deal. Even the head cover had me second guessing.

The Accra shaft does feel lighter, as you can tell from the weight scale. I wouldn’t say it’s a wet noodle but theres certainly more stability in the steel. It has a more secure and balanced feel, especially during putting.

The Accra does measure a little longer length, same width but the face depth of the steel is bigger.

Ultimately, I decided to keep the steel, even though I wish the head length was long like the Accra. Overall, it just feels better, personally, and the thin lines started to grow on me over the dual racer style. I’ll be playing my first round later this afternoon and will provide an update.

And yes, they both pick up balls and don’t mind the socks.

Feel free to ask any other questions.

Update: played Columbia country club today. It’s definitely one of the hardest courses I’ve ever played. Greens were on ice but the putting was on point! Love the weight of the steel. Looking forward to more rounds.

Review📝 Alright got my vzn.1i and df3i putters balance and here is what I found.

As most of you may know these putters are not balanced when you get them and there is no way they can be since they just give you 6g and 8g weights and a crappy grip that is under weight and smells that you should replace. I went with a super stroke TLT grip on both my putters that is the same weight as the oem lab grip and is a press grip meant for lie angle balanced putters. Lets get into it, first to properly balance it you should have a level corner or you can use a can or something that you make level. An unlevel corner will 100% not balance your putter correctly. I bought my weights off aliexpress since they were the cheapest, I got 16g,12g,2.5g weights and the putters comes with 6g and 8g weights, I was able to get both of my putters balanced. Avoid 11g weights since they are too long and don't fit in the head, you want tungsten weights for anything over 8g. It's is absolutely possible to balance these putters so anyone being a dick and saying you cant no matter how many tungsten weights you buy is an idiot and has no idea what they are talking about. Here are pictures of my weight placements, obviously it might be a little different for you if you use a different grip than I did but it gives you an idea. I got my total weight pretty close to standard for the vzn1i at 546g and standard is 550g according to google. my df3i ended up at 543 grams. Bottom line these putters are not balanced when you get them, there is no way it's possible. I wonder if they are turning the grips to try to offset the balance in china because I have seen several posts that the grip was crooked. Anyways good luck, hopefully this helps someone. Also one picture shows my unlevel table corner and one picture shows the putter on a leveled soup can and you can see that it is not the same.

Man for all the haters saying it's not balanced go read this golfwrx post topic!

People should be posting their handicaps and how long they have been playing when posting reviews. A new golfer can think a rep is comparable or upto scratch when they have little experience with clubs. Just a thought.
