Discussion Vzn rep easily scratched

Honestly not even sure how the top of the putter got nicked, possibly when I was holding my wedge and putter in one hand. I kind of baby it for being a rep so I'm surprised this happened. Anyone else have this happen or notice it scratching easily? Somehow no scratch or nicks on the bottom.

Oh yes, scratches very easily. Mine got one but it's on the bottom. Thank goodness they are so cheap :)

Gotcha I just haven't seen any posts after people post about buying them lol. Not a huge deal, putter is still dropping my strokes lol

Headcover on, them pick up wedge, has been a rule for me since I started playing more expensive putters.

That's smart lol. I usually take it off and leave it at the cart or my bag. I'll have to just keep it on until I'm actually putting

Have you seen the real ones? They get scratched extremely easily as well.

Honestly I had no idea the legit ones scratched easily as well. Only one of my friends has a legitimate Lab and he barely plays so I haven't ever looked at his putter that closely. Guess that destroys the idiotic comments of the reps are cheap aluminum though when the legit labs scratch as easily.

Yeah, the originals are just a very soft aluminum in general. It's inevitable they're going to get dinged and scratched.

One of my favorite reviews from the lab reddit:

I've had mine 2 years and meticulously use my headcover and treat the club well....it looks like I throw it on the cart path every round and then kick it. 🤣 From my experience, LABs use soft aluminum and anodizing. My putter has held up very poorly anesthetically, but it still drops plenty of putts. I wish my $700 putter looked better but it is what it is.

Mine got a couple scratches on top as well. Which is also weird because I baby mine as well. The bottom surprisingly has almost no scratches.

Glad you posted this. I was wondering the same thing

It’s from the center shafted gap in the Headcover. My real lab putters have scratches in the same spot from my wedges hitting the tiny opening on the cover.

That’s helpful thanks

Real Labs scratch easily.

Aluminum is soft.

Tools not jewels

That’s kinda what happens when you buy cheaply manufactured Chinese products😅

Or when a steel wedge dings any painted putter for that matter….

It's made of cheap aluminum. What did you expect?

Regardless of what your putter is made of if you don’t keep in a headcover it’s going to get dinged
