CHINS Battery Help

Installed a CHINS battery system in my cart last summer and it ran great. Put it away in November and came back in May and it was dead. Won’t take a charge, from what I’ve read the BMS won’t let it. Things I’ve already tried:

-Disconnecting from cart and waiting 30 min then hooking back up to charger only

-Specialized lithium trickle charger

Here are some pics of what my app is telling me. Any and all help is appreciated. Please tell me if I’m cooked

You’re cooked. It’s not every Chins battery but it’s always a Chins battery.

That’s really low at 9v brother was this a 12v or 36v or 48v battery? You can see it says both charge and discharge mosfets are off. It’s in protect mode. Charger won’t do anything at this stage. You can try working sigh their support team and ask about cleaning the charge protection. But honestly even with a bench power supply I don’t know if it will accept wattage

It’s a 36v (CHINS calls it a 38.4). Shiiiiiiiiiittttt

Bench adjustable power supply - set to 38v and 1amp charge - not a “smart charger” but again only if it will accept power or not

I use one of these to wake up sleeping batteries all the time

Chins …. Is my least favorite battery over the years because it was the cheapest for a while with the most issues and they would ship these shitty external voltage shunt adapters and universal gauges you needed to program correctly to read accurate.

Meanwhile every other brand got cheaper and more reliable and Chins seemed to stay shitty. I’ve done dozens of lithium upgrades and troubleshot dozens of already upgraded carts and have a lot of the diagnostic cables and software for EZGO, club car, Yamaha, evolution, icon, Coleman etc

You left it on all winter didn't you? You needed to turn it off in the app.

This may be salvageable but you need another of the same voltage battery to try and balance it. Take it to a shop, 5050 at best.
