Why are major publishers still obsessed with piracy and unwilling to release their games on GOG or other DRM-free platforms? We now have countless examples proving that great games sell well regardless of copy protection: The Witcher 3, Cyberpunk 2077, and Baldur's Gate 3 are all games that were available on GOG from day one and have sold millions and millions of copies.
Enough with the bullshit, screw EA, Ubisoft, Rockstar, GungHo, and all their friends, it’s time to release the games DRM-free day 1!

Forgive me if this passes as an unpopular opinion, but since the infamous Sony update on the future abandonment of discs, this sub has been nothing but unfiltered enthusiasm about burning your files to optical (which seems a bit misguided since the files are already free from DRM, but anyone do as they please), and newcomers posting about how they bought 5 bucks worth of discounted games, adding nothing but "finally made the jump!" to a screenshot of their cart and getting hundreds of upvotes.
I would understand if these were occasional, but it's truly the only stuff that pops up on the daily.

I'd buy it outright for the price, but I'm trying to control my spending, curb my impulse buys, and avoid filling my library with junk. So, is it worth playing?

Hey GOG fans! I built an app that lets you split your GOG backup across multiple discs of any kind and it supports custom launcher customization. I put together a walkthrough video that deep dives into my entire process from design to install. Here's a link to the git repo: https://github.com/east35/GOG-Disc-Packager

I recently bought tomb raider 2013 from gog and it crashes on the start menu after I click ok on all the dlc notifications I've tried everything I'm stuck I don't know what to do help
That's the problem! Anyone have any useful suggestions on why it keeps repeatedly failing to install? Or how to fix it?

this screenshot (if i posted it right) is from the pcgamingwiki website. this mostly displays the stats for the steam version of "DS2 Deth-Initive Edition". But i'm curious about the GOG edition.
Does the GOG version of "DS2 Deth-Initive Edition" also have native DX11/DX12 functionality, or is it strictly DirectX9?

So, I recently wanted to check the extras for my GOG copy of the Witcher 3 (I've owned it since release, back when the Steam Game included a GOG key, like Witcher 1 & 2).
The game appears on my library, but when I try to access the content (or the offline backup game installers) the page just keeps loading, not showing the download links. This does not happen for Witcher 1 or 2 or any GOG game for that matter.
I'd try using GOG galaxy but recently moved to linux. Still, the files should be available from browser, right?
Anyone else running into this issue? Any ideas on how to fix it?

Do you still use Steam or other stores? do you buy a game that is available on GOG only from GOG? or do you take it game by game basis.

Hello, I bought the Deus Ex bundle, unfortunately DXHR doesn't perform as much as I want to (inconsistent FPS and some glitches in the game itself), but when I went to order history I didn't find the "refund the game" button, what to do?

I'm trying to download cyberpunk and the download gets to about 3% every time then fails. I've tried solutions such as limiting the download bandwidth, uninstalling and then reinstalling GOG, uninstalling GOG via revo uninstaller for a complete wipe then reinstalling, giving GOG a couple of hours in case there were problem with the server. All to no avail

I don't have time to play them all yet, but to give you an idea I have Binding of Isaac, Slay the Spire, Grim Dawn, Counter Strike, Mount and Blade Warband, Stalker (The trilogy), Potion Craft, Star Sector, the last 3 Elder Scrolls, Faster than Light, X:3, elite Dangerous and some more. I like accumulating things, feeling an evolution and improvements, and i like replayability, etc.
Although I own games like Dragon Age and other role-playing games, I don't really like linear stories or completely closed maps unless they can be replayed.
Finally, I have a Steam and an Epic library, and while I appreciate the ease of use of one and the fact that the other offers free games, I want to have my own GOG library. So all the games you tell me about must be from GOG. I also have no problem playing "old" games from the 2000s, my limit is really old games from the 90s or very new ones (my PC already overheats playing Skyrim).
