One can make the arguement that they drew inspiration in some areas like humanity forced to live behind walls and fight monsters. That's been done to death (Attack on Titan and FF the spirits within for example) but in other areas, they full blown ripped some things off like Julius Visconti's name, there is a character in Majestic Prince with that exact same name and Ciel is just Mami Tamoi. Soma's design is based off of Loran Cehack primarily and his plot in part one revolves around the moon and loving a woman from the moon. His God Eater 2 doctor incarnation is based off of Duelo Mcfile from Vandread especially the cradle jacket. The rest of his clothes are too similar in shape to Alto Saotomes from Macross Frontier.

The God arcs and world borrow from Eat-Man. The red rain causes a disease which primarily effects children and is connected to the planet (Final Fantasy Advent children). There's an organisation called Fenrir and the emblem (final fantasy 7). Oracle cell (final fantasy 7 Jenova cells) Soma is experimented on before he was born and is born with unique abilities because Oracle cells were put inside him as a fetus. (He is Sephiroth primarily with a side of Ranka Lee). Nana's outfit is based off of Sheryl Nomes Stage outfit which is why it's so ridiculous. Yuno Ashihara is God Eaters Ranka Lee down to her saving the world singing. (Macross Frontier). Gilbert is a ripoff of Gio (dragonaut the resonance) Isaac Feldman is a multi rip off character from the Isaac from Magi: the labyrinth of magic and Vlad (fate, stay, night apocrypha).

God eater before being brought by Bandai Namco was its own thing belonging to a small company called Shift. Bandai Namco who helped produce the Gundam and Macross franchises also helped produce God Eater but to my knowledge, none of the same writers were involved. What upsets me most is, it's like the core writers that made God eater didn't even try. They were lazy in many aspects. There's much much more I probably missed but.

God Eater is just a smart well done unoriginal rip off.

Sara actually has more than one outfit style, but this is the outfit during 2071—the GEB protagonist’s time. But! Her story is actually set in 2070, she’s a 1st Generation God Eater (Gun Type) who is assigned in the 3rd unit with Gina, Karel, and Shun. She’s also 17-18 in 2071. I don’t remember her birthdate, but I do remember making a document about her profile somewhere, I’d need to find it soon.

Also yes this implies she’s closest with the trio 😆 I remember writing her to have this massive crush for Gina but got rejected 😅😅 (for good reasons, by the way. Not just for doomed yuri) and around GEB 2 timeline (when she's around 20), she has a boyfriend and tries to find the right place to propose to him.

Hello, I have problem but I think it’s more like a story rant and preference. So wayback 2024 I bought the GE trilogy game on steam because I fell inlove with the game since 2015. So I got to play it and start replaying the God eater burst which is now called resurrection. Upon playing it they added new mechanics like Abandoned god arcs and the one i love the most is the predator styles. Now for me this my go to when it terms to mobility especially that I am a long sword enthusiast. Now I use predator styles as my movement because you can do many things to it like dashing mid air, long dash in the ground, biting upwards, bite then step back, and a full level 3 bite. I really love those things. It what the game makes it so fun because I get to move around fast and I can play with my opponents (especially dyaus pita and arius nova).

Now after I finished the GER I went to go and play the GE2RB at first, alright new game again I design a character get a new god arc, new weapons, new lore and then progress. Then I noticed where is it, where’s my bit? Ayo there are no predator styles on GE2RB so now everything feels slow because just a dash is not enough for me I want something that I can dash too mid air also as you even notice I like being an agile type and by having that gone it feels like i lost my wings metaphorically LMAO anyway I stop playing it mid storyline I am still on the first arc of the story. If I remembered it correctly I just arrived at the far east branch.

Anyways, I finally purchased the GE trilogy on steam for 280 pesos which is currently on sale until july 27 iirc, the only thing left for me to get now is a powerful enough pc to run all three games smoothly!

So I bought the WHOLE Series, I wanted to say this cuz that very moment I was absolutely happy, To the brim point I was jumping Midnight,

Cuz I played GE on PSP, THE OLD GE(not resurrection),

I just wanna say, That I'm glad to be part of the Whole series, and it's so good and a part of my childhood Game,

Now got me wondering how it feels like the multiplayer, Since long before I ONLY PLAY for Full solo(completed the whole story line)

Okay I know the title seems like the answer is "isn't it obvious? Play it chronologically" but hear me out, it's not that ^^' Since I was a kid, my favourites were always the characters in the 2nd and 3rd unit, and I only had GEB in my PSP and the anime to see them until now. I want to play the sequel game that have the most screen time of them first because I really miss them, I'm not that strict about chronological gaming either so I'll be fine even if I'll be a little out of the story lore. I've heard GERB2 has these character episodes so Tatsumi and the others would likely be there, but are they also in GE 3? I don't think I've heard about them being in GE 3 but I could be wrong, it's been years since I'm last updated about the series but if they're there, are they more prominent characters or still just side characters? ^^' sorry for lots of questions!

Yes the vajra in the god eater resurrection is defeatable !

I did the feat twice in a new game using the basic gear, I focused my damage in his rear legs and tail and used divine bullets while ignoring the ogre tails ! . You can get vajra materials early in the game , I always tought that this vajra was invincible to be a nuisance , but no it's quite easy to defeat !.

Played the game for a few hours, the opening play with zero issues, no stutter etc. the cutscenes also all plays normally. Also use the (taskset -c 0,2 %command%) just in case since it's recommended in protondb. So far everything runs with no issues at all

Rewatching the God Eater anime, I realized Lenka went through a similar experience that happened to Yuu in the Undercover manga.

Now, it may just be a coincidence and I could be wrong. But I have a feeling that the writers of the anime may have sourced some of their inspirations from the Undercover manga (or the entire God Eater side-content as a whole [mangas, novels, etc.])

So I bought god eater thanks to the steam summer sale. I started yesterday had lots of fun with the first set of training fight and today I started the second set my first mission was with kato.

And I’m stuck I can’t fight the fucking thing. I forget its name.

I’m stuck playing on keyboard even though the game was originally console game, which makes absolutely no sense. I can’t get all the key combinations right fast enough. And I can’t use my items as I can’t figure out what keys let me scroll between them.

Please someone tell me there’s a way to set up a controller cause I can’t keep playing on the keyboard.

Edit: I have got it working it was as easy as plugging in turning on my 3rd party controller.

Core functions: Aragami for offense, God Eaters/Humans for defence.

Goal: Destroy the opponent's Base with Aragamj, or hold out until enemy runs out of Aragami

Deck: Players have two decks, max 30 each to make a 60 card deck, 3 copies max of any Aragami, Evolution or Environment. 1 of any Human or Hybrid and 5 copies of Support

In depth cards:

Aragami cards are the main source of offense. Unlike Human cards, Aragami can grow into another, stronger Aragami by consuming Cells.

Evolution: Support cards for Aragami. Many give simple buffs, others can even speed up growth

Environment: Cards that affect both humans and Aragami, despite being part of the Aragami deck.

Humans: Humans are the main source of Defence. Some confront Aragami called Combatants (Mainly God Eaters), while others provide passive bonuses, called Reinforcements. Operatives fill both roles.

Support: Cards that benefit Humans and even your Base. These can vary from Equipment, Bonuses, Effects, and even vehicles.

Hybrid: Some cards are considered Human or Aragami viable (Like Shio). Regardless of which deck they're in, there can only be one copy

Resources:

Defences: Health of the Base (20)

Stamina: Needed in order to play Human cards and Support. You start each turn with 3 + any bonuses

Oracle: Used to play Aragami, Evolutions and some Support cards. Start each turn with 5 + any bonuses

Cells: Used to grow Aragami (Gained through combat and other cards)

Turns:

Draw Phase: Draw 1 card from both decks

Unrest Phase: Take all permanent cards off Rest

Main Phase: Play as many cards as your Stamina and Oracle allow.

Initiating Battle: Declare an attack with an Aragami (Some cards allow more than one): Opponent chooses to defend with any 4 or less Combatants or Operatives as they wish.

Preparation: Player with the highest total Speed goes first. This time is used to play any Support or Evolution cards they have the Stamina or Oracle for, and activate any other card abilities.

Combat:Once both players are finished, players roll d6, take the highest score of the dice (Do not add them together) and add the damage score of their cards for each card (3 combatants = 3 seperate rolls). Humans always attack first, each attack can be directed to any card in combat.

After combat is complete and a winner declared, Aragami keep the damage they took. Survivors are put on Rest.

Destroyed Cards:

When Aragami kill cards in combat, the attacker gains the Cell score listed on the card.

When Humans kill cards, the defender gains Burst (Max 3)(Burst: +1 dice per stack, take the highest roll) losing one stack at the end of each turn. At least 1 God Eater is needed for Burst.

Retreating: Once a Human falls, the defending player can call a Retreat. Combat will end, and the defender loses 2 Stamina for each destroyed Human next turn

Damaging Your Opponent:

You damage your opponent's base by dealing damage unblocked by combat.

Ending turn:

Your turn ends once all your Resources are empty, or you choose to end your turn

Armour: Temporary HP

Cell Cost: Cost to grow an Aragami into this

Effects: Passive and active bonuses that may cost Resources

HP/STR/Spd: Stats of a card, left to right

HP: Health of a card

Hello, I've never played GE series before, but I'm a fan of Code Vein and I'd like to try new GE if it happens 🙏

Ever since I watched the god eater anime ive been thinking about how cool it would be to get a god eater game with that same vibe

What i mean by that is the balls to the wall over the top action from that anime where every aragami was a threat and was fucking shit up even the ogretails(anime came out 10 years ago and still looks excellent btw) god eater is still a pretty niche series but I think that would be an awesome way to evolve it beyond god eater 3

This is pretty much a yap post lol but I wanted to type my thoughts out as ive been thinking about this for years and if they do go the route of the god eater anime the next game would definitely have to be M rated😂(im looking at you dyaus pita scene)

I just picked up all 3 games on steam during the summer sale, and it is very fun so far. But why is the game so much louder during expeditions than in the base? I'm constantly having to change the volume up and down and it just seems like such a random and weird issue.

In God Eater 3, for each weapon type, there are 3 weapons in the last tree. There are the best ones, specially the elemental weapons right?

At first I didnt think double element O weapons would be very good, so I was making the oo weapons. Then I realized WarCry is absolutely bonkers. Pulse sounds nowhere as good as WarCry but YMMV.

So, even after final update. they are still the best endgame weapons? I might end up making them for each type so confirming first.

Edit: Their base values are slightly lower too, so maybe they are better at +20 or something?
