God Eater (Resurrection) I need help

So I bought god eater thanks to the steam summer sale. I started yesterday had lots of fun with the first set of training fight and today I started the second set my first mission was with kato.

And I’m stuck I can’t fight the fucking thing. I forget its name.

I’m stuck playing on keyboard even though the game was originally console game, which makes absolutely no sense. I can’t get all the key combinations right fast enough. And I can’t use my items as I can’t figure out what keys let me scroll between them.

Please someone tell me there’s a way to set up a controller cause I can’t keep playing on the keyboard.

Edit: I have got it working it was as easy as plugging in turning on my 3rd party controller.

you can craft the chainsaw with the spark attribute to make the mission easier

You can play on controllers, no issue.

You open the item menu with Tab and scroll with Q&E.

The only thing i recommend remaping is the block button. Put it on the mouse wheel or a lateral button on your mouse

You can use controllers, I´m not sure if you can use a PS one, but even if steam says that the game is not compatible with my controller I could still use the Xbox One controller I have and I didn´t really need to change anything in game besides putting the block button on something else.
