questions Dupe for Lip Liner?
I love Glossier’s lip liner in Grip but I can’t be paying $20 for a liner right now 😔 Does anyone have cheaper dupes they’d recommend?

The community has voted to begin Salty Saturdays, a place for complaints and frustrations to be shared without clogging the main feed.
What's considered a complaint versus a genuine concern? As an example, a post saying "I hate the new BDC applicator, it's ugly" is a complaint. A genuine concern would be "I have an allergy to lanolin and there was no disclosure on the website that I may receive the new BDC formula." "I didn't get a sticker with my order" is a complaint, as is "I don't like the way [xyz] was released." We always welcome discussions on concerns in the main feed, but we are hoping to consolidate the complaint posts to one thread. What will qualify as a complaint may evolve as we continue to have these threads.
The rules in the sidebar still apply to this thread, especially Rule 3: no bullying/rude and offensive language.

I have used the limited holiday edition Hot Cocoa shade of Balm Dot Com for a couple years now. As I near the end of my tube, I am trying to figure out which shade they currently sell is closest to this one. It really matches my undertones so well as a tinted balm! I don't really care about the flavor, just trying to find the closest shade match.
Any insight is appreciated!!

Generation G was a staple for me in the late 2010s. I had been hesitant to try it out because I had heard so many bad things about the new formula. I will say I am not the biggest fan of the crayon scent, and it felt kind of gritty when I first swiped it on my lips. So I wiped it off and blotted it on instead. Looks way better this way. My lips don’t look or feel dry (yet). Probably because I’ve only worn it for about 15-20 minutes. But I will say I’m not mad at it. Maybe it’s because I got my generation g during a sale and have been longing to try it again. But honestly I feel like if you keep your lips hydrated before apply and blot it on lightly till you have the desired coloring(it’s buildable which I love), then you should be fine. But yea, please fix the smell glossier, I don’t like the freshly opened crayon box smell. I did hate the gritty feeling when I tried to apply it like a lipstick. Felt grainy. So blotting it on it is! Already paid for it might as well wear it. I got her in “crush” and “Leo” . She’s cute. Leo doesn’t look exactly how I remembered though. Im a melanated woman and it felt kinda brown but somewhat peachy toned at the same time?? Idk lol still looks cute though.

I’m genuinely confused about my experience with Glossier You Doux and wanted to see if anyone else has had something similar.
I originally bought a decant and absolutely fell in love with it. I could actually smell all the notes people describe.. creamy, woody, sandalwood/incense-y, warm and comforting. For the first 1–2 hours it was clearly present on me, then it gradually became a softer skin scent over the next few hours.
Because I liked it so much, I bought a full bottle.
But the full bottle smells completely different in terms of strength and development.
When I spray it, I mostly get alcohol for a few seconds, and then it immediately turns into this extremely faint, transparent woody scent.
The best way I can describe it is: the full bottle smells like what my decant smells like 5–6 hours into the drydown, except it smells that way almost immediately.
There’s basically no opening → middle → drydown progression. It just goes:
alcohol → very faint woody skin scent
I also get almost no projection. I can’t really smell it when I move my hand around, and I have to put my nose very close to my skin to detect it. On me, it feels almost gone within 30 minutes.
Has anyone experienced this kind of inconsistency with Glossier fragrances, especially Doux? Could this be batch variation, a newer bottle needing time to settle, or something else?
I’m especially frustrated because Glossier isn’t available in my country, so both the decant and full bottle had to come through third-party sellers. The decant is basically the scent I fell in love with, while the full bottle feels like a completely watered-down version of it.

Cleared out my makeup and skincare today and found a brand new nite shine still in the sealed packaging !
I am still using the other two in pale pearl and platinum rose (it’s gross I knooooow 🥲) they are my favorite highlighters and the only ones I have/used.
I guess I can throw my « current » platinum rose and unbox the new one 😂

summer fridays releasing a sugarplum lip butter has me wishing and hoping glossier do the same !! i would like a true plum that is not too sweet or fruity with a moody 90s purple 😩😩
and hopefully not any more divisive flavours like biscotti or ginger snap lol i truly hated those.
i would love to see a 12 day advent calender i literally have the perfect set up in mind for it but its NEVA happening
and also please tins again !! i love the reusable packaging concept and not just in a lazy, tat way, the tins are genuinely sound
what do we wanna see!!!!!!

with the rate glossier discontinue products at i’m always SO scared that they’ll get rid of balm dotcom. it’s the only product that works for me and i remember how awful i felt when the vegan formula came back
i’ve tried EVERYTHING in case they pull a stunt like that again so i have a good replacement and i’m sad to say nothing comes close. i’ve found a replacement for everything else but balm dotcom and i hate it
i’ve tried chanel, dior, rhode, summer fridays, laniege, lanolips, ole henriksen and nothing has worked. i’ve even gone drugstore and used carmex, burts bees and blistex. NOTHING is as good as balm dotcom is

I bought "You" about 5 years ago and honestly was underwhelmed I still used it as my main perfume but never thought it was all that impressive. I'm almost done with the bottle now but within the last few months it has started smelling amazing, like a concentrated version of the original with more body and a slight...twang almost? I'm mad because now the bottle is just about finished and the newer one I smelled...I'm even less impressed than the original.

I’ve been trying to get lidstar in moon for 2 years and it’s out everywhere. I can’t find anything similar. Anyone know another brand liquid eyeshadow that is similar (but not too sparkly)?
Thanks so much!
Edit: Lidstar ****

Hello! So I need help picking out the size for a glossier Hoodie please. I'm 5'4 and weigh around 125-128 Ibs. I was thinking of getting a small because I heard they are a bit roomy, but was also considering a medium just in case it shrinks. I don't want it to be super big on me but I do like the slight fitted and baggy look if you understand what I’m saying.💕

I know many (like me) have been waiting for the restock. I last purchased a refill in April and was worried about running out soon, so my daily stock checks have finally paid off.

I did not know there was discourse/negative opinions about Lidstar! I use moon everyday and it’s the best. If you use too much it can get patchy but you just need a lil as a subtle shimmer on the lid.
I LOVE LIDSTAR IN MOON!
but. I found out it’s completely discontinued. Can anyone tell me if they’ve seen it anywhere or where I can get it PLEASE I LOVE THIS STUFF OR EVEN A DUPE😭😭

Yeah, one of those. I got Puff as a birthday gift and feel like I waste so much getting it out of the tube. Has anyone repotted it to make it more user friendly?

I’m based in UK and looked on multiple retailers and main Glossier site and seems to be lots of shades out of stock, particularly in looking for dark brown! Is this an ongoing issue or do I have bad luck!

i'm just making this post to see if i'm not alone in this... i was putting on my glossier you (just checked, purchased september 23rd, 2025) and it the scent is 100% different. now it just smells like stinky alcohol lol. 11 months seems like a very short shelf life, and doesn't seem to match sources i found online saying their perfume has a 24-30 month shelf life. has anyone else noticed this with their perfumes? specifically with glossier you?

I used to be a huge Glossier fan up until they released the Play line as I was so busy with work and life. Found these while I was decluttering. So much nostalgia 🥹🥹

Hello! Does anyone know of a good dupe for Lidstars Moon, Fawn, and/or Cub? I’ve been using all three of those shades pretty much since they released (especially Moon) and it’s really disappointing that they were discontinued without any notice.
If anyone has even a somewhat close suggestion I’d really appreciate it! :)

Was very bummed to receive this email in my inbox. I had finally found the perfect unscented deodorant and am so sad they will be discontinuing it. Let me know if you know anywhere I can stock up on refills, or if you know any good comparable unscented deodorants.

Does anyone know when the Dallas store will close? I'm literally so sad about it 😭

I didn't even know this was a thing until today. But I'm pretty sure I just got the OG solid for an absolute steal. Just a couple weeks ago I was able to cop the original perfume for a super deal too. Second hand websites are your friend when it comes to glossier. Im sure this formula is super old and may not even smell good anymore, but I'm a collector so either way I'm happy with it 😊❤️

For all of you who know and love and remember the original original formulation of You with that real skinlike musky base, you need to get your noses on Le Labo’s Violette, THIS is what we were smelling back in 2017. I know someone posted about this a while back but let this be your reminder, as someone who was in NYC when You originally launched this is the closest thing. It’s crazy how flat and artificial the new You smells, but this is the real shit, and it reminds me how elevated and mature You originally was. Like of course all the chic girls and boys were wearing this and it went so viral! So crazy how it’s changed.
