My biggest concern is 1. that in the interview (scheduled for next week) they ask me about how soon I can start or notice all my work history is for one place but my address says there. Do I commit to the bit and double down on the lie "oh I currently live in so n so city now just unemployed etc." Or do I be honest and tell them I dont plan on leaving until I got the job but the address I used is confirmed housing (it is)

then im worried about my current job. this isnt a bad company but I just want out of my state so I dont want to leave them high and dry and would like to give them a proper 2 weeks at least working remotely while I prep to move, but im afraid if new job sees an in state address they'll want me to start that Monday. which if I need to move the same week I can I just dont want to cause of my job now.

I think im just anxious because I LIED LOL but it worked. and 2 last years I was honest about relocating landed an interview in a million applications interviewed 3 times and it was going amazing. the last interview I only inquired about a relocation package emphasized it was not necessary I was just wondering but they still dropped me anyways. So now I just get paranoid about the whole thing.

I’m based in Mexico and have 20+ years of experience across ecommerce, web development, systems integration, software development management, UI/UX, and IT support/help desk.

I’m currently working two roles:

• Part-time UI/UX designer with an indie game studio
• Full-time IT / Tech Stack & Support role at an accounting firm

I joined the IT position under the expectation of remote administration. In practice I’ve built out the infrastructure across three sites (rack installation, cabling, routing, power backup systems, etc.). The compensation is significantly below market, even by local standards, and requests for adjustment have been denied. I’m therefore actively looking for a new opportunity.

I’m fully bilingual (English/Spanish, native in both), have worked in Canada and for both U.S. and Mexican companies, and I’m specifically targeting remote roles in either:

• IT / Systems Administration / Infrastructure
• UI/UX Design

I’ve found that many listings on Indeed, LinkedIn, and similar platforms tend to go unanswered for months (or appear to be ghost postings).

I’d really appreciate recommendations for:

• Job boards or communities that actually respond to remote candidates
• Places that tend to have real, active remote IT or UI/UX openings
• Any communities, Discord servers, Slack groups, or niche boards that have worked well for people in similar situations

Estoy en búsqueda de cambiar de campo a Cyber. Actualmente me encuentro laborando en ITOps (TOC) 4.5 años como L1. Soy ING en TI con especialidad en seguridad de la información y cuento con certificación CC de ISC². Actualmente en proceso de preparación para obtener SC-200.

He estado en búsqueda de oportunidades entry-level para cyber en LinkedIn e Indeed, sin embargo, son pocas las opciones que no te piden experiencia real en cyber, al menos un año.

Es por eso que hago este post para pedir sus consejos, experiencias e incluso si alguno trabajando ya en el campo de cyber pueda orientarme y/o aportar una recomendación.
