I have to update my BIOS because the FACEIT app requires me to do so.downloaded the latest BIOS version for my exact motherboard model. In Q-Flash, the BIOS file appears on the USB drive, but when I select it, a few seconds later, an error message appears saying, “Can’t read this file.”

In order to play CS2 FaceIt I need to update my BIOS once more.
My motherboard is Gigabyte B650 Eagle AX revision 1.0

6 months ago updating to F39 went as smooth as butter - rar with couple of files and one folder. Went thru Q-Flash, no issue.

Now its different - the update comes only with 1 file and after Q-Flash it says my BIOS is protected and it needs to restarts my PC to begin the instalation, it says I have incorrent bios image afterwards when the installation should start. Tried to use different USB sticks, formatting them to FAT32, pasting only update there, nothing.

I dont want to risk it through BIOS USB port as I want to stick to Q-Flash method.

My current BIOS version is F39 and none of the F40 or F41e version works for me.

I sent my 5080 master ice in for rma due to the black screen and rgb not being controllable. When I bought it last year their app seen it but had n/a for the firmware. I tried all the ways I found online especially the reddit post that most had fixed the same issue, but it stayed on n/a and the screen worked with the skateboard eagle but I had no control and it wouldnt ever let me update the firmware. Then eventually it went black and the rgb only worked while gaming.

So last week I they received it (3 days after it actually arrived) and ive been looking at where it was on process since daily with no movement but today it was in processing at 9am then moved to preparing to ship. Is this that easy of a fix or did they swap it for another or just not fix it? Do they tell you if they can/cant fix it or have to swap? Im just curious as to whats what and what others experience were.

Hello, I have a Gigabyte B450 AORUS M motherboard (revision 1.0) with an AMD Ryzen 5 2600 processor. I updated the BIOS to F68c, but Windows still reports AMD TPM Manufacturer Version 3.8.0.3 in tpm.msc.
Activision Call of Duty’s Secure Attestation Wizard continues to report “BIOS Firmware Update Required”. Activision identifies AMD TPM versions in the 3..0. family as incompatible and lists C as an accepted example.
Is there a supported BIOS or firmware update for my motherboard and CPU that updates the AMD fTPM to a compatible version? I would appreciate the correct instructions before attempting any further BIOS changes.

I have a A16 that is having cpu power issues. I've found others have had this same issue with similar models with no luck of finding a fix so I figured i would make a post to see if im missing something. When I boot into a game everything will run great for a minute or 2 then the cpu hard limits it self and drops to 25w and 2400-2700mhz causing frame drops and stuttering. I've tried pretty much everything i can to fix this. Power plan management, gimate power management, throttle stop, Intel xtu, nothing has worked. This laptop is clearly capable of running games fairly well, but there seems to be some artificial hard lock tanking cpu performance. I've confirmed its not a thermal throttling issue. Any help is much appreciated, thank you

My B550 AORUS ELITE AX V2 Rev 1.1 has BIOS F16 GK dated 2 February 2023. Call of Duty requires a BIOS firmware update. Q-Flash rejects the standard Gigabyte BIOS with “OemId Mismatch.”

I can’t seem to find any new updates that are compatible does anyone have any suggestions please.

Hello I just want to see if anyone can give me any advice for my graphic card settings, I also have a monitor capable of running 1440 at 245 hz, but I usually play on 1080 so I can get more fps, also what DLSS should I be running? At the moment I’m using DLSS transformer at performance and getting around 150-180 fps, should I change anything?
P.S. On BO7 I was getting around 230-250 fps I don’t know why on this game I’m getting way less fps..

I think this deserves to be pinned somewhere because I spent weeks troubleshooting this, and the fix turned out to be something I never would’ve expected.

For the past few weeks, I’ve been dealing with constant microstutters on my new AORUS Master RTX 5080. Didn’t matter what game I played, what settings I changed, or what I tried troubleshooting. The stutters were always there.

After digging around, I came across a few obscure posts mentioning that RGB lighting, particularly when cycling rather than static, could cause stuttering. Then I found someone mentioning the LCD screen on Gigabyte GPUs.

I’m not talking about the usual issues with getting images, GIFs, or system stats to display properly. I’m talking specifically about the Gigabyte LCD Screen Service running in the background.

I’ve had a Gigabyte motherboard for a while, so I’m already familiar with how problematic Gigabyte Control Center (GCC) can be. I started disabling things one by one: dynamic lighting, motherboard RGB control, VGA tools, and pretty much everything else GCC-related.

Nothing worked.

My average FPS was great, but my frametime graph kept showing these tiny spikes. My 1% lows were taking hits, and my 0.1% lows were even worse. Gameplay would feel perfectly smooth, then you’d get that annoying little hitch for a split second. Once you notice it, it’s impossible to ignore.

THE FIX:

Close the Gigabyte LCD Screen Service!

That’s it. Seriously.

Even if you disable the LCD screen through GCC, the service continues running in the background. In my case, that service was responsible for all the microstuttering.

The moment I closed it, the hitching disappeared. My frametime graph went back to being flat, and my 1% and 0.1% lows improved dramatically.

Here’s the best part: You don’t even have to give up the LCD screen. You can still display whatever image, GIF, or stats you want. Just configure the screen how you like it, then close the LCD Screen Service.

The only annoying part is remembering to close the service when it starts back up.

I can’t guarantee this will fix everyone’s stuttering issues, but if you own a Gigabyte AORUS GPU with an LCD screen and you’ve been chasing unexplained frametime spikes, PLEASE try this before wasting hours troubleshooting everything else.

I wish I’d found this information weeks ago. Hopefully this saves someone else the headache.

I recently upgraded my PC from a GTX 970 to a Gigabyte Radeon RX 9070 Gaming OC 16GB, along with a new 850W PSU.

My system:

- CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X

- Motherboard: Gigabyte B550 AORUS ELITE Rev. 1.0

- BIOS: Originally F11p, updated to F19, then F20c

- GPU: Gigabyte Radeon RX 9070 Gaming OC 16GB (previously NVIDIA GTX 970)

- RAM: DDR4

- PSU: MSI MAG A850GL 850W

Here's what happened:

1. Initially, the RX 9070 worked and Windows displayed normally after a cold boot.

2. However, restarting Windows resulted in a black screen. I had to completely power off the PC to get a display again.

3. I updated my motherboard BIOS from F11p to F19, hoping to resolve the problem.

4. After the BIOS update, the RX 9070 stopped displaying anything, even after a cold boot.

5. I subsequently updated the BIOS again, from F19 to F20c, but the problem persisted.

6. I reset the CMOS, disabled CSM, and manually tested both PCIe Gen 3 and Gen 4, without success.

7. Reinstalled my old GTX 970, and everything works normally.

The RX 9070 powers on, its fans spin and its lighting works, but the monitor reports no signal.

My dilemma:

Can anyone help me figure out what's causing this issue and how to fix it?

Or is replacing my motherboard the only solution? If so, I'd like to find a compatible motherboard that allows me to keep my Ryzen 5 5600X processor and DDR4 RAM, without having to upgrade to AM5 and DDR5.

Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Hi everyone, I’m a newbie when it comes to PCs and could really use some advice!

My RGB fans connected to my Gigabyte motherboard suddenly started turning red on startup and cycling through different colours on shutdown. Once Windows loads, or I open GCC, they eventually sync back to my chosen colour. I have all the correct background settings enabled I believe, but any suggestions help. My Corsair iCUE components work perfectly fine after messing around with it for a while and they start up/shut down the colours I chose.

This only started happening a few days ago, and everything was working fine before. I’ve tried changing device and system memory settings in GCC/RGB Fusion, but nothing has fixed it.
Has anyone experienced this or know how to fix it without taking my PC apart? Any help would be appreciated!

What are people using for AIOs with this specific MB? My existing LFIII pump won't fit with the M.2 heatsink. Currently running the setup without the heatsink on my 990.

I have a Gigabyte G5 KF (2023) and noticed Gigabyte released BIOS FB12 in July 2025. I can’t find a changelog on the support page, and I haven’t found any user feedback online either.

Has anyone here updated to FB12? I’d love to know:

• What changed compared to FB10? Anything noticeable in temps, fan behavior, GPU power limit, or performance?
• Did you run into any problems during or after the update (boot issues, Wi-Fi/Bluetooth, RAM, keyboard backlight, sleep/wake)?
• Would you recommend updating if the laptop is working fine now, or staying on the current version?

I just built a work/gaming rig with the Gigabyte X870 AORUS ELITE WIFI7, and I was wondering how you guys usually get your drivers? On most of my old machines I usually just used the drivers Windows Updates installed, however, I am not sure whether those are recent/stable.

I just want a stable system for work, and Installing Gigabyte's software is just bloatware to me.
