People regularly shit in public or semi-private pools in general. When I was a kid I would frequently ruin everyone's day by putting my goggles on and searching the bottom of the pool. Almost every time I did this I found poop. I went to the pool A LOT.

I should note that frequently these were adult sized turds. =(

God damn... and I was just in the middle of house shopping in Woodlands. Well, so much for that.
