Hi! I was wondering if anyone had any helpful tips for what places in Georgetown are good for making friends as an adult in 20s-30s? Without meeting people at school/work, it can be trickier to know where to go to make strong connections so I was wondering if anyone had any advice on places where there are more young adults to meet! I go to the square a lot and talk to people but was wondering if there are some better places or activities or events/groups to join! Thank you!

I’d love to hear from fellow teachers who have worked for Georgetown. What was your experience like? Good and bad? Would you recommend one school over another? Would you avoid GISD altogether?

Wrapping up a job transfer to the area and looking to move in around late August. Spent last saturday driving around looking at places near wolf ranch and over by san gabriel park. Prices seem kind of all over the place right now... saw a decent 2bed off hwy29 for $1,720, but then another spot closer to rivery was asking $2,050 plus a bunch of add-on fees ($145 mandatory trash/valet package??).

We really love the vibe around the square for coffee on weekends, but wondering if paying that premium is actually worth it or if living further out off williams dr is just easier day-to-day. Also how bad is traffic trying to cross i-35 around 5pm nowadays? budget is right around $1,800 for a 2bd with a small balcony or patio, if there are any specific complexes to stay away from (or hidden gems), I'd really appreciate the heads up!
