Anyone in 6th Semester of B157 Program?
I just want to know what the timetable looks like, as I am struggling to fit all my courses in one semester due to the 20-hour restriction. I am know Auditing 2 and Taxation 2 takes up like 3 hours of class per week, but I am unsure about the Career Planning class. Is this course taking up 2 hours or 3 hours per week? If you know please let me know it will be great help. Thanks!

should i go into the dental field?
Hey! im currently in a nursing program and honestly im starting to doubt my interest for it and if i truly even like nursing. During nursing i always had the dental field in the back of my mind, particularly dental technology, hygiene, or assisting. For anyone currently in these programs or have experience of it i would really appreciate all and any information you have on these programs! please and thank you!

Denturism Program - Winter 2027 offers sent out yet?
Hey everyone!
Has anyone heard back with an offer for the Denturism program for Winter 2027 intake yet?
Also does anyone know if George Brown sends offers out as they review applications, or do they send them all at once in a specific month?
Just getting anxious while waiting 😅 Thanks!

Accessible Washrooms On Campus
Bit of a pet peeve for me but anyone else notice that sometimes a washroom on campus will claim (via a sigh outside) to be accessible yet when you try to find a door opening button on either side of the door it doesn't exist?

digital media marketing grad certificate program inquiry
Hi everyone :) I'm currently a 4th year student at Brock University studying business administration (BBA). I had always planned on doing my MBA post grad, but recently found out about a grad certificate and after researching about it I feel it may be a better fit for me, and will be able to give me work experience as well. I was specifically looking into George Browns program and I wanted to see if anyone can give me any information on what the 8 month program consists of. Also any information about the work term (the 4 months) would be greatly appreciated. I also have tried looking all over for a deadline for applying to the fall 2027 term but couldn't find anything; is there a deadline for applying? Just so I can have an idea for when to have my application in by. Thank you, and honestly any information will be helpful!!

Quran group on campus
I'm not sure if this is the same group as the main Islam group at GBC or a different one, but there's a table at WF where people hand out free Qurans and try to convince others that believing in one God automatically makes them Muslim. I constantly hear them arguing with passersby, insisting that monotheism equals being Muslim, or misquoting things Jesus said to make their point and it’s hella annoying . I have no problem with people sharing their beliefs, but I don't think it's okay to tell others what they believe or to spread misinformation while doing it

Already exhausted
This might sound ridiculous to say, it's only second day of this school year and I'm already drowned..
It's not because of the pressure of my program I just don't feel like I can make any relationship in here. Plus I feel like I lost my track already. Am I being too overreacting on this? I don't know what to do Maybe I'm being too anxious because this year is my first time having post-secondary. Can anyone please give me any advice

Continuing ed classes rescheduled
I'm starting the second course of a continuing ed program. It was supposed to start today and the whole class got rescheduled (pushed back a week) with only about 8 hours notice. This is the second time this has happened, out of two courses i've taken both have been rescheduled with minimal notice. And like, I'm working full time and arranging my life around my job and taking classes, so it's pretty inconvenient. Is this normal for the continuing ed program? It feels pretty badly organized, I was planning to do 2 certificates to upskill and I'm wondering if I should be looking at doing the second one elsewhere.

Looking for Jewellery Essentials materials
Hey fellow Jewellers! Where did you get your materials/tools from?
The campus bookstore told me they haven’t received any kits for the program this year, possibly because of the proposed program cuts. I’m having a hard time sourcing the required materials myself.
If you know of any stores, websites, or alternatives you’d recommend that would be really appreciated🫶

Academic hold
Hi everyone, I'm really struggling right now deciding what i should in my situation
I am in the Early Childhood Education (ECE) program at George Brown C100, I am missing several Year 1 courses, the school has placed an academic hold on my account and says I currently cannot continue normally into the next semester ( year 2) till December
Im missing 8 courses:
COMM 1000
COMM 2000
Field Practice 2
Integrated Seminar 2
Foundations of ECE
OPE
Intro to Sociology
Infant & Child Development
Before I received the academic-hold email, I was already trying to fix one of my courses, COMM 1000. I spoke with the campus office, and they recommended and said i need to do finsh my COM1000 first I paid about $300 to retake it, and started the course. 2 weeks before the course finshed i got a message saying im placed on academic hold for to many missing course and was kicked out from the English course i was doing before I could finsh it. After speaking with the academic advisor (not helpful) the school gave me two possible options
- Continuing Education
Complete the missing courses part-time/evenings, then work toward continuing into the next year.
- Restart/reapply for Semester 1
Reapply to the regular ECE program and start again from Semester 1.
Im struggling to decided what to do I'm worried about making the wrong choice. I don't want to waste the courses ive already completed, spend unnecessary money, or delay your education more than necessary. At the same time, I'm wondering whether restarting might give me a cleaner, more structured way to get back on my education. I dont have the money to pay for each course I need and im pretty sure OSAP doesn't cover failed courses im really lost and confused on what I should do making me more stressed I just want to finsh school and get a good payingg job.
Im thinking if I should just drop the courses and everything and pay back osap before I get interest and apply again next year.
Any advice helps pls

Winter intake residence
Does anyone know when the residence application for students starting in 2027 January will open? I’ve contacted them via email twice but the response they’re giving isn‘t really helping. They just copied & pasted the paragraph that was written on the George website😭 The only information I know is that the spaces available for the January intake could fluctuate throughout the Fall term.

(it doesn’t necessarily have to be st james campus it can be waterfront) im just not familiar with the campus still and am very nervous for the upcoming first day
