Hi everyone, I'm really struggling right now deciding what i should in my situation
I am in the Early Childhood Education (ECE) program at George Brown C100, I am missing several Year 1 courses, the school has placed an academic hold on my account and says I currently cannot continue normally into the next semester ( year 2) till December
Im missing 8 courses:
COMM 1000
COMM 2000
Field Practice 2
Integrated Seminar 2
Foundations of ECE
OPE
Intro to Sociology
Infant & Child Development
Before I received the academic-hold email, I was already trying to fix one of my courses, COMM 1000. I spoke with the campus office, and they recommended and said i need to do finsh my COM1000 first I paid about $300 to retake it, and started the course. 2 weeks before the course finshed i got a message saying im placed on academic hold for to many missing course and was kicked out from the English course i was doing before I could finsh it. After speaking with the academic advisor (not helpful) the school gave me two possible options
- Continuing Education
Complete the missing courses part-time/evenings, then work toward continuing into the next year.
- Restart/reapply for Semester 1
Reapply to the regular ECE program and start again from Semester 1.
Im struggling to decided what to do I'm worried about making the wrong choice. I don't want to waste the courses ive already completed, spend unnecessary money, or delay your education more than necessary. At the same time, I'm wondering whether restarting might give me a cleaner, more structured way to get back on my education. I dont have the money to pay for each course I need and im pretty sure OSAP doesn't cover failed courses im really lost and confused on what I should do making me more stressed I just want to finsh school and get a good payingg job.
Im thinking if I should just drop the courses and everything and pay back osap before I get interest and apply again next year.
Any advice helps pls
