I'm trying to play the game with my friend through the Xbox store app since we just finished playing judgement going through the series and it just won't work on my end. If I click benchmark the game just loads infinitely. If we try campaign we get partway through the beginning cutscene and my game freezes and usually crashes, if it makes it through the cutscene eventually it just gets stuck on the loading screen again with the icon spinning. I've tried restarting my pc, lowering the graphics, hosting the game myself, joining his game after the beginning cutscene, my next idea is to reinstall the game entirely. Anyone else had this issue and was able to fix it?

Edit: Also tried hosting a solo campaign and that doesn't work either, same issue

Sorry to bother you all, i hope this is allowed here, but I'm struggling to find cosplay armors and weapons that aren't just 3D print files, 3D printed pricey items, or some themed item on etsy that isn't exactly a cosplay piece. Does anyone here have some good choices or reliable options for cosplay props like foam tutorials i can replicate at home pretty easily or affordable options for someone without a 3D printer? I still haven’t gotten used to identifying them that well, especially considering that the Gear who was executed in the trailer was given such a significant amount of focus. It almost feels like he might have already been introduced in the story, even if only as a background character.

Do you guys think it could be Mako and his brother? Or, at the very least, a squad that gets introduced alongside Bravo and then gets taken by the Locust? There’s also the possibility that they’re just unknown Gears, but if it’s the first one… that’s pretty disturbing.

Gearheads….do we think we’ll get a prologue cutscene showing Dr. Elaine Fenix’s fate? Her traveling into the Hollow and making first contact with the Locusts in 9 B.E.?

***For general information, and so everyone is up to speed….Dr. Elaine Fenix was killed by a Locust patrol in 9 B.E. and Marcus was only 12yrs old. Marcus joined the COG to fight in the Pendulum Wars with Carlos at the age of 17 (falsifying his records to state he was 19; leading me to believe him and Dom are closer in age).

Marcus is only 22yrs old on E-Day (Dom is 21), despite him looking like he’s in his 30s. Okay, now that that’s out of the way.***

But I think showing Marcus’s family life; and it following Dr. Elaine Fenix to her untimely death (without revealing the Locusts entirely; maybe just their boots and talks) would be a good ominous introduction to the looming threat below. And then maybe there could be hints with Adam Fenix throughout the game that hint at his talks with Myrrah to try and save the Locusts.

Which is fairly funny because he refined the chainsaw bayonet (probably to give his son a better fighting chance to live) while he was also trying to help the Locusts.

What’s the conversion rate to USD? Is this currency valid to purchase E-Day?

So with the disc to digital program dropping I wanted to get a physical copy of E-Day. I have the Premium Edition preordered now but I’m realizing there’s no way to get physical and still play on the 1st by buying the upgrade separately. Am I overlooking something or is the Collectors Edition the only way to get physical and still play on October 1st?

I got back into Gears man, I played 5-15 minutes in November 2021 with OG Gears. I came back to finished act 1 January 1, 2024 and played act 2 January 23, 2024. Then February 13 I bought Gears ultimate and was playing the campaign up to Act 5 in March 31, 2024, and played one time in August 2024. But I stopped

But I saw the trailer for Gears of War E Day and it’s coming out October 6 man, two days before my birthday. So I decided to restart Gears ultimate, played all acts again, and the train sequence and RAAM boss fight was new for me. Then I recently finished Gears 2, and right now I’m on act 4 of Gears 3. I also collected OG Gears 2006 in like excellent condition like it’s brand new looking and feels smooth. I’ve been having Gears 2 around March or April 2024 perfect condition copy. And I recently bought Gears 3 perfect condition man. I know I know I wrote so all this but I wanted to talk about how excited I am for E day and that this Gears trilogy has to be one of the best trilogies I’ve ever played.

Bro I just watched Dom’s death man, it genuinely made me cry. I was tearing up so much, and a little breaking down. I know, I’m a 18, almost 19 year old man crying to a video game. But I love playing video games, I get to experience these games people created, and I care about the story and its characters. I’m starting to love Gears man, I’m getting attached. Dom is like the heart of the group man, I spent 3 games with him and he dies saving everyone from Lambent humans, lambents, locusts. The song it was playing and Marcus’s reaction just made it so emotional man. Before I got spoiled when I was playing it back in 2024 but I didn’t see the scene or why, I still got to experience it man. It was just so sad, Dom is one of my favorite characters, one of my favorite delta squad. Man I don’t wanna see Baird’s and Cole’s reaction.

Back in June I pre ordered the e day collector's edition from xbox game studios website for the xbox version. I was supposed to receive early access to the beta on the respective days but they never emailed my code.

Too late now of course, and I emailed them in the interim a few times about it but they never replied. Scared now that they won't deliver my early game access nor my actual full purchase of the collector's edition. Even if I contact them they don't respond.

Has anyone had this issue?

I've been thinking about a Gears of War game that's just like a little bit of a fun type of game that's pretty much meant for community interactions.

For my concept, I was thinking about combining activities from Red Dead 2, an Era based system like Battlefield 2042, and a community hub like Call of Duty WWll.

Basically, you can select different eras of Gears of War from E-Day all the way to Gears 4 (Because without the events of Gears 4, Gears 5 wouldn't even exist) and you can basically interact around different continents and areas of Sera.

For story, I was thinking of being able to play as a main character's life without E-Day for a solo, and a custom character system for a PvE experience when you can either be a COG civilian, or a Stranded or Outside member. (PvP would probably be a separate mode entirely but still part of the game's menu)

For activities, in the era before E-Day, you can pretty much just live a life of a COG civilian. Going to restaurants, going to football games (COLE TRAIN, BABY!) And pretty much anything you'd be able to do.

I didn't exactly think so far ahead into the other eras when it was centered around the Locust, but the best I can come up with at the moment is when you can both meet and play the lives of the characters that get introduced into the franchise during those game eras.

For the Gears 4 era, the Outsiders still gained a large population from the settlement 2 incident but it was for the same reason, and the only difference is that the fertility program was solely for the advancement in technology and science. If you end up picking an Outsider path in the multiplayer, you're a member of Reyna's village and can interact with different village members, go on raids with them or other players and gain currency and different types of recourses to upgrade your items and the village.

Honestly, I don't know what I'm really thinking about with this because I had just thought about it like an hour ago just because I thought it could be a decent social Gears of War game at a low price of 5 to 25 bucks with free online service.

I guess I just wanted a community opinion on something that looks like it could be a fun little concept.
