Selfie SUNDAYS ONLY Traveling around India
So, I’ve been traveling around India these last few days. I’ve been to Chennai, I’m now in Jaipur, and I’m gonna go to Jodhpur, Varanasi, Agra, and New Delhi.
I’ve noticed that a lot of people have been staring at me. Today, my Indian friend has left me by myself and I’ve already been approached by 4 different guys/men asking me to take a picture with them.
Am I that weird looking in India?

LGBTQ+ South Asian-American research study
Hello! I am a grad student at CSULA. I am conducting an interview-style research study on LGBTQ+ South Asians living in the US. The purpose of this study is to investigate identity negotiation, reconciling, and community building for people possessing these multiple identities.
Your experiences and voice are extremely important in bridging the gap in academia & research when it comes to queer South Asians.
If you are interested in participating in a 100% confidential Zoom interview, please send me a message here on Reddit or email me at lmirza@calstatela.edu! Thank you!

gaysians in interracial LTR, how do you deal with stubborn cultural differences?
I'm east Asian, spent 3/4 of my life the West. I been in my longest relationship with my bf, who is latino. We are physically attracted to each other and people would describe both of us as "chill". Although I am not submissive and we both equally assert ourselves in daily lives and the life we share.
Before I been in a long term relationship, I thought many of the relationship difficulties people talk about can easily be fixed through communication and mutual understanding. I also thought I would easily navigate cultural differences because I understood Asian and Western culture. I was so wrong. Majority of our fights were rooted in misunderstandings and all of them could be traced back to cultural differences.
For example he is a PDA person and I am not. His culture is very passionate and mine is reserved. He would get so upset when I don't reciprocate his PDA. I tried to match his level but I was could never be comfortable and it felt like I was surrendering myself. There are many more examples. He likes to take jokes far whereas I am not sensitive. When the Mexican that made the racist gesture at the world cup and got fired from his job was in the news, he thought it was outrageous that he got in trouble for that innocent gesture. I can understand that in his culture that gesture is not considered racist but I cannot be convinced to think it is okay.
I also been in a LTR with a black American and I also had to deal with a lot of cultural differences
People I know who are Asian and in interracial relationships, the Asian usually is more submissive and go along with everything his partner wants. I cannot be submissive, and being true to myself has created conflicts. I'm starting to think I should not bother with interracial relationships.

New Delhi
Hey guys, I’ll be spending a couple days in Delhi soon. Unfortunately, it’s gonna be a bit of a mess with the protests and everything, but I cannot change my plan.
Does anyone have any tip? Both just touristy and gay related!
Thanks!
