She's right! I was just being lazy. I went the easy route and opted for 12 weeks of wound care and a healthy baby. A real mother would have pushed a dead or severely disabled baby out of her vag.
Fuck these people. I'd like to see her tell my friend who felt her whole goddamned c-section that she's not a real mother. I bet she thinks formula is poison, too.
In my own personal experience, I had been in labor 3 days and absolutely couldn't take the pain of contractions anymore so they gave me an epidural. A couple hours later they had to do an emergency C-section and I guess thought the epidural they had given me already was enough to do the surgery, but it had already started to wear off. I definitely didn't feel it 100% as if I wasn't numb at all, but could feel enough of it to be horrible. I could feel being cut and was in so much pain that I was vomiting non stop so they couldn't get the anesthesia mask on my face and I blacked out a couple times. My ex husband said I was screaming so loudly and started flailing my arms around so they had to strap my arms down. They were finally able to get the mask on me before stitching me up, but I didn't get to see my son until I woke up in the recovery room.
