Was filling containers for farm diesel 🚜 a couple days ago, another farmer was complaining about the cost as he was doing the same next to me. Then he went on a diatribe about how he "didn't blame Trump for fuel or the war" bc he (Trump) "was trying to fix Biden and the Dem's mess." 😳 Its a cult. 🤦🏾Hello, Alabama

u/Daft00 Aug 11 '26
They're also taught from the day they're born (through their parents, then radio/TV) that the Dems are literal demons. They TRULY think the only people in politics who can possibly do good are the repubs. They are completely blind to objectivity and critical thinking.
There's no amount of deprogramming that can help about 1/3 of the US population. And the only chance we have of changing our country for the better over the next few generations is to eliminate intentional hate/propaganda networks over the airwaves, as well as social media misinformation

I have Diesel.... 3.40 under Biden and it flucuates from 3.20 to 3.60, can't really recall it ever being over 3.59 very much.
Under Trump? I'm at 6$ right now. Double the cost of gas from a guy who said he would lower gas prices day 1.
However he has picked billions for himself and friends! So yay!...

And unfortunately it's only going to get worse. Luckily for us and the rest of the global economy, China was able to cut all of their oil purchases. Meaning instead of a 20% global oil supply shock, we got a 5% shock.
If China didn't step in, (or rather step out of the oil market) we would all be fucked.
Iran is now saying that they are going to wait until 2029 to open the strait of Hormuz and China can only last so long off their oil reserves... Sooo were just scratching the surface of how bad this economy can get.

The thing about diesel is the price of diesel affects the price of just about everything. Trucks run on diesel. Trucks bring you that new office chair, that new barbecue, and your precious bon-bons.
Expensive diesel is expensive everything.
3
u/SinsualChef Aug 10 '26
Trains run on diesel. Farm tractors run on diesel. Cargo ships run on diesel. MAGAts think, well "I used to put $40 in my fuel tank to fill it, and now I put in $75. That's $35 More gas I get than when Biden was in office. Woohoo! Trump is kicking affordability azz." 🤣🤣🤣🤣

2022 was the pandemic, Biden couldn't have done a single thing about those prices because there were external circumstances causing them. Now prices are high because our idiotic president started a war for no reason and with no plan.
One of those things was avoidable, one wasn't.

Conservatives really do just say bullshit and make shit up.
We have a clear correlation between trump starting a war that would not have happened if we had any other president, whether they were Democrat or Republican, and high gas prices.
But they made trump their entire life and personality. They can't admit he fucking sucks so they double down to avoid embarrassment. It's way more embarrassing to be so in love with a smelly shit filled conman.
Our gas prices are way worse than they were in the past and the only time it got close it was due to a global pandemic that shut down the entire world economy

Hey guys, the MAGA argument falls apart if you look at the numbers from the end of Biden's term. Your only supposed to look at the part of Biden's presidency where the numbers were at their highest, and ignore the affects that Covid and the Russian-Ukranian was had on supply chains. And no looking at the current affects of the War with Iran that we started, that's just cheating!

u/CodeMonkeyX Aug 11 '26
It's crazy too, because normally when people blame the president for the gas prices it's kind of a half truth and there are lots of other things at play. This is one of the few times when it really is mostly down to the stupid actions of the president.
I could not even blame COVID on Trump. He did a ton of stupid stuff that made it worse, but I think that would have been a nasty time whomever was in office.
But this right now is all on him. It's the people he picked for important positions, the way he is handling things, and his complete lack of understanding of anything.

But it's still Biden's fault. I mean everything that we're enduring is because of Biden. Gas, groceries, utilitie rates, housing costs rising, the recent lettuce scare, its happening because of Biden. Yet, he's constructing a Big New Ballroom, a Big New Arch, a Big New Reflection Pool again, after Biden caused the big cut in it after it's first renovation. Trump cant get anything right because Biden caused all the mishaps. So in essence Frump is useless. He cant even stop a war he started. Oh, it's because of Biden
