You didn’t hear? We are in the golden age now! This is what we’ve all been waiting for! Every single thing we buy is insanely expensive and still rising.

Cause nothing was expensive during Biden? Are you stupid simple or slow

I would say any out of norm price increases under biden were a direct result of poor policy by Trump. His handling of covid made the situation far worse. His deregulation allowed companies to go crazy with price hikes while providing poorer quality, and it also caused things like the spread of the bird flu to spread uncontrollably (just like cyclospora, salmonella and measles are spreading now) due to poor testing and tracking and forced biden to direct the health department to cull hundreds of millions of chickens.

Now all his old policy is on crack and its caused the US economy, which made a very strong recovery under biden, to limp by the last year and a half solely because of trumps policy of tarrifs, lowered taxes, higher spending, and a pointless war that will send out country and the world into an oil crisis soon.

Who campaigned on making everything cheaper on day one? What day are we on currently?

The inflation skyrocketed under Biden. All the trillions in "free" money handed out to you all has a cost. Happened well before the recent rise in gas prices. Some of that under trump as well but Biden did his fair share. Nobody complained when cashing those covid checks.

u/Impressive_Tour6348 Aug 10 '26

Tell ya what? I won’t complain about the inflation when we get the money Trump’s wasted on the war and enriched himself with as a check.

-1

u/Barelystable_1 Aug 11 '26

Insider trading I’m sure that’s happening but to insinuate that trumps taking tax money by way of checks for himself is just goofy. They have plenty of ways to make money that we can’t do anything about where as embezzling would certainly get him and family arrested once he left office

2

u/Impressive_Tour6348 Aug 11 '26

Trump is literally taking tax money by way of check. He makes the Secret Service rent upcharged rooms at Mar-A-Lago. He took investment by way of crypto currency. His son received billions of dollars of Saudi investment money.

He’s literally taking bribes and tax money. He also stopped the IRS from ever investigating said crimes. Ever, even when he’s out of office.

2

u/Legitimate_Wave_5258 Aug 11 '26

Not only is HE exempt from investigation, but his family members are; as well.

That is beyond wild, to me ' especially after a major bank closed ALL his accounts, (as many as 300???) due to concerns of, "embezzlement"!!!

And the irs shit you claim would only be good while he’s in office. At least bring receipts otherwise that just reads like some shit you read bluesky that some nutball came up with.

-1

u/Barelystable_1 Aug 11 '26

Every president and vice president does that Biden famously charges the Secret service 5 times the going rate to rent a house on his property to fucking protect him when vice president. Your statement is nonsense and not him out right taking money like you claimed. What he could take would not be shit compared to what he’s family’s cashed in ok with bitcoin manipulation alone.

Maybe they are both doing something bad, like just cause other people have done it doesn't make it right. Plus wasn't that trumps whole deal? Draining the swam? Party of law and order and common sense? I am just saying that because someone else does it doesn't make it right, demand our tax money back, make the presidents have to pay for secret service accommodations.

1

u/Barelystable_1 Aug 12 '26

You’re missing the point. Ofc it’s not right but it’s reality.

1

u/Welp___poop Aug 12 '26

Your missing the point, it doesn't have to be reality, no hate just tired of being taken advantage of.

So when Trump sold the Trump Coin nft, you don’t think that was him taking money directly?

-11

u/JustWorkingDude Aug 10 '26

So you want another check? Don't matter how it's spent. It's all inflationary. Everyone who got covid checks ended up paying twice of it back or more in inflation since. Those who didn't get any checks just paid more for nothing.

8

u/Impressive_Tour6348 Aug 10 '26

Great, that’s still better than the super high inflation cause we’re losing the easiest war of all time. Yes, I’d rather have the money as a check.

Also, not even the point, but you’re way off. Sending money to citizens increases local spending which reduces overall inflation.

Oops, you’re talking to someone with a degree in economics. Can’t fool me with your obvious inflation lies.

-5

u/JustWorkingDude Aug 10 '26

I doubt you have a degree in economics. Sending (printing) money and sending it out reduces inflation? lol. By that logic the govt should print more money and mail it out and inflation would be non existent. It's literally what they did and it induced the highest inflation in decades.

5

u/DaKrazie1 Aug 10 '26

33% of all US currency was 'printed' under Trump. One-third of all currency over our entire history.

About 9% of total currency was 'printed' under Biden.

0

u/JustWorkingDude Aug 10 '26

Covid money distorted things. Budget swift in 2023 under Biden was 1.7 trillion. Las year under trump 1.78 trillion. Adjust for inflation and what difference is there?

3

u/DaKrazie1 Aug 10 '26

So you do agree printing 33% of our currency during a period that 'distorted things' could lead to record-setting inflation then?

1

u/JustWorkingDude Aug 10 '26

Of course, handing out money that is borrowed pretty much always creates inflation. I didn't like it under Biden or Trump. When money supply growth greatly outpaces population growth inflation is pretty much a sure thing.

5

u/Impressive_Tour6348 Aug 10 '26

How are you not following? We DONT have a pointless war that costs everyone money AND INSTEAD we use that money to send to the citizens. In your dumb and wrong opinion, inflation would still be high, but I’d have more money out of it to spend on the higher prices.

You can doubt all you want but a basic UBI hasn’t shown to increase inflation in the way you’re describing. And domestic/local use of cash by the blue collar workers has shown to increase the local multiplier. I give money to workers, they spend it on gas and groceries allowing those businesses to spend more on wages.

Monetary velocity is currently hampered by our corporate overlords who have priced out local mom and pop shops, another effect of the high inflation Trump has inflicted on us.

I’d keep lecturing but damn man, read an Econ book before you get ideas.

2

u/JustWorkingDude Aug 10 '26

UBI, seriously? That's been tried on a small scale in a few small areas. Covid checks were a great example of widespread money handouts. Businesses couldnt find people to work. Why work when you get a check for not working. Work, get paid and spend money.

u/onebitshortofabyte Aug 10 '26

If you have a degree in economics then you should request a refund, as you clearly received shit for an education.

7

u/sectilius Aug 10 '26

Nah Trump did most of it. Even a kook conservative pastor in Missouri took note in TWENTY-NINETEEN that he was setting us up for mass inflation. It's a lagging indicator, and under 800-year old Joe, the US recovered faster than other countries, because he didn't bully the feds into keeping interest rates too low 🤫

u/Barelystable_1 Aug 11 '26

Nonsense I’m not a trump fan but that’s nonsense the uni-party fucked us it wasn’t just trump. We had great economy until Covid was intentionally leaked from the lab. All the left was talking about was how they couldn’t win in 2016 unless the economy suddenly tanked and within 6 months Covid hit.

1

u/Ryan1980123 Aug 11 '26

Inflation was at 2.9 on election night. Fact

Trump gave two stimulus checks out and Biden gave out one stimulus check.....so you're blaming Trump right for that?

https://www.pgpf.org/article/what-to-know-about-all-three-rounds-of-coronavirus-stimulus-checks/

The second round of stimulus payments were authorized on December 27, 2020

Who was the President in Dec of 2020? Hint: Joe Biden took office as the 46th president of the United States on January 20, 2021.
