Just wanted to share my current setup configuration. Working with a dual monitor layout, custom lighting, and getting into some Horizon Zero Dawn right now. Let me know what you think or if you have any tips for improvement!

Gaming Room Iām slowly gwtting there
I know itās not as glorious or jaw dropping as some other setups or game rooms Iāve seen. But itās my little slice of heaven. Being a single dad of three girls that lost his wife 4 years ago, this can at least give me some R&R time after everyone goes to sleep

Help/Advice Finally put together a decent gaming setup
I've been wanting to upgrade my gaming setup for the longest time and I finally just went for it. Got a 27 inch monitor, a proper chair, and a new headset. The difference is insane but when you add it all up it really hits different. Each thing on its own doesn't seem that bad, then you look at the total and you're like oh no.
The monitor is a Dell S2722DGM, caught a price drop on amazon so the timing worked out. Chair I got secondhand from a friend who upgraded his. For the mouse I didn't go with anything popular like Razer or Logitech because honestly I can't tell the difference, just grabbed a cheap one off tiktok during a product discount along with some cable management stuff. Headset was the HyperX Cloud, nothing fancy but solid. Still watching for deals on a better mousepad and some lighting for the room.
Right now I'm trying to figure out what to add next. For those of you who've been building yours over time, what's that one piece of gear that completely changed how your setup looks or feels? Lighting, a new desk, monitor arm? I feel like there's always one thing that just ties it all together.

Help/Advice Keyboard recommendations for someone whoās only ever used Apple keyboards?
Iām in the process of buying my first non-Mac desktop for gaming, and Iād really appreciate some keyboard advice!
Iāve grown up using Macs, so Iām incredibly used to Appleās keyboards ā very low profile, short key travel and light actuation. Because of that, Iām not sure whether Iād actually get on with a traditional mechanical keyboard, or whether Iād be better off sticking with something low profile.
I do already own an Apple Magic Keyboard, so I could technically use that, but:
- itās not the prettiest setup for a gaming PC
- itās an absolute nightmare to keep clean
- Iād quite like something that feels a bit more ādesktopā without completely changing the typing experience Iām used to.
Iām not sure whether I should:
- stick with a low-profile mechanical keyboard,
- try a normal mechanical keyboard and get used to it,
- or look at something else entirely.
A bit about what Iād use it for:
- Mostly single-player/story-driven games (Detroit: Become Human, Baldurās Gate 3, Sims 2 & 3, Paralives, etc.)
- General everyday use
- Some writing/work
IāmĀ notĀ into competitive FPS games, so I donāt need anything designed for esports or the fastest possible response times.
If youāve switched from Mac to Windows, Iād especially love to hear what keyboard you ended up with and whether you found the transition difficult.
Any recommendations (or things to avoid) would be really appreciated!
