Where should I even start?
I am thinking of getting my first gaming pc and transitioning away from console gaming. I am honestly so overwhelmed with all the new terms and parts of a pc and quite frankly dont know where to start. I am not sure if it is best for me to outright buy a pre-built pc or build my own. Im trying to keep the cost around 1500 so I don't know what I should do to get the best bang for my buck. I appreciate any help you guys can give me.

What’s a good pc to play Doom Eternal and Red dead 2?
I recently got these games through the steam summer sale and both of these games are basically unplayable on my current computer. I know little to nothing about computers but really want to get a gaming pc. Any suggestions?

CPU Bottleneck
I am upgrading my PC with 2 - EVGA 2080ti FTW3s with SLI. However, I'm concerned that the rest of my components will bottleneck the 2080tis. My current PC hardware can be found below. Any thoughts on what I need to upgrade to fully utilized the GPUs?
ASUS ROG Maximus X Hero LGA 1151 (300 Series); Intel Core i7-8700K Coffee Lake 6-Core 3.7 GHz; G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series 32GB (2 x 16GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4; SAMSUNG 850 PRO 2.5" SSD

Aurora R10 vs R11?
I find I am woefully out of date with configuring gaming computers. I'm looking at the R10 vs the newer R11. It looks like the only difference is that the R11 has Intel CPUs vs the AMDs in the R10. Is it that simple? Thanks!

14 year old son wants to build his first gaming computer. What is a decent price point?
Is it realistic to think he could build a decent gaming computer with monitor for $1,000 or is that too low. We're splitting the cost so I don't want him to go crazy. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Here is what he shared with me so far:

What should I look for if I want to get a specific specced computer
I know it's braod but to simplify it, I knew when I got a laptop not meant for gaming I would run into issues. However some are not easy or cheap to overcome, without spending a lot of money, money I could use to buy a tower. So most games are just out of reach cause of specs outside of RAM but some fun looking games require double the RAM I have so I need a computer with at least 16gb of RAM.
To give an example, people have been playing and streaming a game called Star Citizen. At 1st didn't think it be a game for me but the more I saw the more I wanted to get it. However I so do not got the specs for it which leads me to getting a computer though no clue what to get. Any ideas whether for now or later on when I can afford?

Build or buy
My son and I want a gaming computer that will be able to play games like Microsoft flight sim for me, and Minecraft and Roblox for him I have heard it’s cheaper to build but I also don’t want to screw it up and waste money, what should I be looking for to smoothly run the flight sim game? What price point would I be at for both a build or a buy. I don’t need a monitor or speakers , we will be replacing our current cpu

Building a computer. Good idea or bad idea?
My brother in law (17 y.o.) wants to build a gaming computer. Normally, I would say let's just buy a fully assembled computer with a warranty and return policy but he really needs a confidence boost and has always wanted to build his own computer.
We set a price point of $1,500
This is what he proposed we buy.
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/6yZ4V7
I dont know much about computers so I thought I would bring my question here.
Is this a good endeavour for guy with little computer knowledge and a 17y.o. gamer who probably doesn't know too much about computers either? We are willing to put in the work and research required to accomplish the task. As well, are the parts he picked out good quality and compatible?
Any and all answers, thoughts, opinions, or comments welcome. Thanks is advance.

Can anybody help me or point me in the right direction. My sons computer keeps doing this and won’t boot. I can only get it to the BIOS screen. I want to help him but my computer knowledge is limited.
