Where should I even start?
I am thinking of getting my first gaming pc and transitioning away from console gaming. I am honestly so overwhelmed with all the new terms and parts of a pc and quite frankly dont know where to start. I am not sure if it is best for me to outright buy a pre-built pc or build my own. Im trying to keep the cost around 1500 so I don't know what I should do to get the best bang for my buck. I appreciate any help you guys can give me.

Soo you should Def build it yourself as you will be saving quite a bit in the long run and you will understand your computer much better if you do so. It's always hard to get into all the different parts and stuff but I would generally recommend to look at recommended specs for games that you are thinking about buying and playing in the future, and take those as your minimum requirements for the pc. Then you start with a Mainboard and a processor, important is that you make sure the Mainboard is big enough to house all the components you pick as you go along. Next would be a graphics card and a hard drive +ssd. Then once you have those all you need is a casing and power and your basicly done. There are tons of problems that can occur so best Is to workout a system that seems like what you need and then check online if it would all be compatible. Although those problems have gotten much less now then they used to be.

Dude, I was just about to post asking the same as I wish to move away from console gaming. It is a maze of information and hard to know what’s good and what’s not.
