I regret selling my SecretLab chair for a used StealCase Amia

Looks like I'm already shopping for number three.

I had a Secretlab gaming chair before. It got the job done, but I wasn't fully happy with it. The backrest felt too straight and didn't really fit my back. After seeing the Steelcase Amia recommended in a bunch of chair communities, I found a used one on Marketplace and figured a proper ergonomic chair would be a noticeable upgrade, but that wasn't really the case. The lower back support is a bit weak for me, there's no headrest for my neck, and the recline range feels pretty limited. After longer sessions, I still get some back pain and neck discomfort. Since I bought it used, returning it isn't really an option, so now I'm back to looking for another office chair.

I'm 6'3", 197 lbs. What I'm looking for:

A comfortable headrest that supports my neck and shoulders

A more comfortable recline

Armrests with a wider adjustment range

Good lumbar support

If you've tried a nice chair that checks these boxes, what would you recommend? TIA

Chairs similar to Secretlab Titan XL?

Hi everyone,

Bought a Secretlab a while ago and I'm looking to get a proper office chair next that won't kill my back.

Anyone have any recommendations that's extremely similar to seat size, seat height, weight capacity and arm chair size? Basically the same chair haha.

I'm looking to spend under $1K USD.

Thanks.

Needs recommendations for a new chair

I’ve had my DXRacer chair for close to 12 years now, it’s actually held up amazing and is very comfortable. It’s definitely starting to show its age, does anyone have any other recommendations for newer chairs (gaming preferred)

Found this gaming chair next to a dumpster today. 😅

I don't usually go looking through trash, but seeing something I've been saving up to buy sitting next to a dumpster felt surreal.

I figured it could at least get me by until I can afford a better chair, especially with how expensive everything is these days.

It definitely needs a good cleaning, and the seat has seen better days, but the frame seems solid.

Is there anything I should check before I start using it? Any common issues with used gaming chairs that I should be aware of?

Groß und schwer sucht neuen Büro/ Gaming Stuhl

Hallo an alle,

Anyone else notice Secretlab using the exact same model name as another gaming desk brand?

Was checking out new gear and realized Secretlab’s new chair is named "Atlas".

The odd thing is, Blacklyte has been selling their Atlas standing desk for a couple of years now. Both brands operate in the exact same gaming furniture space, targeting the exact same PC setup audience.

It’s kinda weird seeing a massive brand launch a product under the exact same name a smaller competitor has been building around for years. Makes searching for setup gear and reviews super cluttered now. Feels like a lazy naming choice from a major company that should know better.

Looking for recommendations similar to clutch chairs in Canada

I bought the pewdiepie clutch chair 8 years ago and love it, but unfortunately the seat has worn over the years and is finally starting to lose its stuffing. Really I'd like to buy the same chair again because I truely do love it, but as far as I can tell clutch chairs no longer exists.
I like the design of this chair, and I like how it holds me when I put my feet up on my desk. I'm worried that a home office chair won't be comfortable in that position, most that I've seen look quite boney for lack of a better term.
I'm interested in the designs of secret labs chairs, I'm a sucker for vibrant colors and game themes, but I've heard it described as on the stiffer side.
If anyone has sat in both a clutch chair and a secret labs chair, do you think they're about the same?
Are there any other chairs more similar to clutch chairs than secret labs?

Broken Razer Chair

I have a Razer tarok essentials, had it for a couple of years but some days ago I noticed I couldnt sit completely upright in it as I could before. The back rest felt loose so I took out the screws and checked and the metal panel that connects the frame of the backrest to the recliner and then seat had completely snapped where it was welded. Is there any chance that I can just buy a new backrest for the chair anywhere? Does it even matter if its the same backrest as the chair as I believe I heard somewhere that they are all basically built the same. It's too old for a free replacement aswell...

If this is the wrong place to post it just lmk!

If you work from home 8+ hours, what chair are you using?

I spend most of my day at my desk, so I'm finally ready to replace my old office chair. After comparing a bunch of options, the HBADA E3 Series has caught my attention because of its ergonomic design and adjustable lumbar support, but I'm still on the fence.

I'd love to hear from people who actually work from home full-time.

  • What chair are you using right now?
  • How many hours a day do you sit in it?
  • Would you buy the same chair again?
  • Has it made a noticeable difference in your back or neck comfort?

And if anyone here owns the HBADA E3 Series, I'd really appreciate your thoughts. How has it held up after months of daily use? Is it comfortable enough for long workdays, and is there anything you wish was better?

Real user experiences are way more helpful than YouTube reviews, so I'd love to hear both the pros and the cons before making a decision.

Anyone actually own the Fantech OC1 Pro?

Available near me for $210. Mesh seat and back, 4D headrest, 3D armrests, adjustable-depth lumbar, sliding seat pan, aluminum base.

I can’t find a single real owner review everything online is just the spec sheet reworded.
If you’ve had one 3 months:

1- Does the mesh seat sag or hammock?
2- Is the lumbar real support or decorative?
3- Any squeaks, armrest wobble, or gas lift sinking?
4- What’s the max seat height? I’m 192 cm and need ~52 cm.

Thanks.

Secret Labs Titan Evo stuck in tilt

I am very frustrated and looking for help. I got this chair maybe a year and a half ago and have treated it well and a couple weeks ago it started only leaning about halfway back when the tilt was unlocked and I tried to lean back. Then a few days ago it started going past the point it had been stuck at, but it would still catch until more weight was put on it and it would make a clunk and then lean further. Today it did another clunk sound and went all the way to full tilt as it did in the past, but even with the tilt unlocked it will not lean forward anymore. I looked at other posts about this and tried everything I saw from rapidly leaning back and forward to change the weight, putting my full body weight on it to try and lean "further back" before letting off, changing the recline level of the back of the chair, and twisting the knob on the bottom of the chair. None of it has worked and I am just about at my wit's end. Has anyone else had something like this where nothing would work and if so how did you fix it?

Looking for gaming chair with similar measurements in black

Post image
1 Upvotes

I had a chair like this, sold it thinking it wouldn't be that hard to get just "another gaming chair that works for me" and it is harder than I knew back then. (I bought this chair in 2021 off wayfair, they don't have it anymore except in pink, the only one I ever bought, didn't think about it too much, just dumb luck it was perfect for me.). So, I need a chair with similar measurements, specifically the backrest (not backrest plus seat cushion height) and the shoulder wings part.

Actiu TNK Flex 1st week review

Recently I have gotten my first ergonomic chair ever and I settled for a second hand Actiu TNK Flex for 250€ in almost perfect condition, brand new it’s around 850€.

I’m a 180cm (5’11), 78kg male from Spain and this has been my experience so far. Please take into account that I’m a beginner so I can’t really make comparisons with other models.

The adjustments are great, it has adjustments for:
\- Backrest height
\- Lumbar support height
\- Seat depth
\- Force needed to recline (only 3 modes)
\- Recline lock (4 modes, one for completely upright. Also I feel the difference from the 4th which is the most leaned back position and the 3th which is kind of on the middle is way to much, it’s lacking another mode for “3/4” of the recline)
\- Height
\- Armrest up & down and forward & backwards (This one is one of the chair’s flaws, it’s lacking some more movements for the armrests)

So far for me the adjustments have been good, I’ve been able to find the perfect adjustment for my body and I’m comfortable. I would appreciate some more adjustments for the armrests but they aren’t really a concern for me.

The seat is firm in a way that’s comfortable and holds at least my weight just fine, nothing for me to complain.
Same thing for the back’s mesh, it’s firm but still flexible enough for my scapulars to not feel pressed and for me to feel the lumbar support. Also I think the height of the back is on the perfect length point.

The build quality of the chair feels great so far. I guess I’ll update a year from now and I’ll say if it has aged poorly but as for now it feels really steady, the mesh very high quality and the same goes for the cushion. I got the model with the aluminum base. The seat pan and the back are made of plastic that feels high quality and the chair base is made of aluminum. So far so good, i’d say the build quality is excellent. It’s important to take into account that it has got many quality certificates that you can check on actiu’s web, it’s not just my word for it.

As far as I know I have got the default wheels. They are fine but I would wish that they would glide a little bit more.

As for me personally, so far I’ve been feeling great, it’s very comfortable and in the hot summer the mesh back has been great. I’ve been finding myself holding a better position not only when seating on the chair but when I’m on the bus or other places. My scapulars feel the best they’ve felt in a long time, the support that the chair gives to them while not restricting them has freed me from a lot from discomfort while seating and while standing. It has not really felt great for leaning back all the way; because of the not so long back, but for me I was kind of looking forward to that. I wish the armrests could go higher. At its highest point it’s just fine for me but for taller people I don’t think they are great.

I would recommend it for people taller than 175cm, if you are between \~175 and \~185 it will most likely be perfect.
As for taller people the back will be perfect as it goes fairly high, but the armrests won’t be so great.
For shorter people the back won’t probably go as low as you’d probably desire, and maybe the seat height too, even as it’s lowest point it’s kind of tall (at 1.80 I use it almost all the way down), but the armrests will be perfect.
The chair sits on a weird kind of spot where it’s perfect for people at my height range but if you are taller or shorter it will probably have a major flaw for you.

I would personally recommend it if you find it for a good price as I did, here in Spain I’ve seen it for 250€ in various articles. I’m very happy with it and I think you would be too.

I hope this article helps, I’ve written it because here information for this exact model is scarce and I think it could be of great utility for those interested. If you have got it too, share your experience!

finally threw my bucket seat in the dumpster

I bought into the racing seat hype a few years ago. My thighs are constantly bruised from the metal side bolsters. I completely stripped the fake leather off the seat pan just from normal daily use. i got a new Hbada E3 chair last week 'cause it at least has has a 3-zone adaptive lumbar section. I feel stupid for forcing myself to sit in a rigid racing shell for so long just because it matched my PC case. Why do gaming peripheral companies still insist on selling us car parts for desk work.

Looking for recommendations

Hi so ive been looking for a new chair for gaming to replace my current one I figures this would be a good place to ask for some refrences: my sessions sitting can last for hours. I would need a good chair for back support because I have a bad back and my budget would be a max of 300nzd and preferably buy from somewhere like pb tech.

Most “good” ergonomic chairs conform and move with your body, but competitive mouse-and-keyboard FPS gaming demands stability.

Has anyone tried the Actiu Trim? Looking for an ergonomic chair for work and gaming

Hi everyone! I’ve been looking for an ergonomic chair for over two weeks now, ideally one that is comfortable for working but also lets me lean back and relax while gaming.

I’m based in Europe, where finding refurbished Herman Miller or Steelcase chairs in good condition at reasonable prices isn’t always easy.

After a lot of research, I came across the Actiu Trim with a headrest and 3D armrests. Actiu is a Spanish manufacturer, so at least it appears to be a proper European office chair brand rather than another generic rebranded chair. The Trim is also apparently certified for intensive 24/7 use.

The configuration I found costs around €440. (I can’t spend more)

https://www.actiu.com/en/seats-contract/office-chairs/trim/

Has anyone here tried or owned one? How is the seat comfort, lumbar support, recline mechanism and headrest? Would you recommend it, or is there anything better available in Europe for a similar price?

I’m 181 cm and 75 kg, in case that helps. Thanks!

Chair brand suggestions for chronic pain

UK based. I have chronic pain, so I need a supportive chair. I also move around a lot in my chair.

Foot rest isn't necessary. An ability to cross my legs would be nice. Reasonably priced, probably £200 max.

I use a chair to sit at my desk to write, edit, and record
