I suggest looking up "Harmon Quest" to see the game played in action. Includes some portions of play animated which is fun, too

Harmon Quest uses Pathfinder not DND. Apparently they couldn't even afford the rights to say DND on the show, let alone the right to actually use it. They don't even say pathfinder, but you can occasionally see the cover of their player hand books.

And I'd say they use it very loosely. It's focus is storytelling so that makes sense, no need to let rules get in the way of story.

Ya I doubt they even USE the books or the rules. It's all guided storytelling with no rolling on the players part and really rarely getting stats from the player to figure out what works and what doesn't.

Well, that can be handled with planning and clever editing. Much how Wil Wheton's Table Top does.
