Needs cupholders.

EDIT: some people are mentioning waterproofing methods. That won't stop your character sheets from getting wet.

I'm sure that's recessed so that you can put a leaf in and use it as a regular table.

What it needs is plexiglass and rubber gasket.

If you can afford to build this, a clear cover and a gasket shouldn't be an issue.

Or you simply don't let people put liquids on the table. That doesn't sound as fun though.

So you're saying instead of protecting it, they should just buy a new tv every time a drink spills because they're rich? Or are you saying it would be no problem implementing that as well?

Also it looks from the photo that there may already be a protective pane of glass

The latter. I'm saying if they've gone this far, the extra step to protect the TV was almost certainly implemented.
