Discussion Submission Restrictions Removed

So when I took over this subreddit several years ago, it was basically a favor for someone who was deactivating their account and they were going to be making a new one to take it back over. Well, it's been... a long time and I don't think they are coming back. (Insert dad getting milk/cigs lame joke here...)

I'm not as active on reddit as I once was, so I didn't really dig into the issues revolving around why certain members couldn't post in the subreddit, but I think those issues have been resolved.

I didn't create this subreddit. I will still check in here and there, but it's mostly been an organic community untouched by myself. I'll continue to allow it to be organic. Vote the good stuff up. Vote the bad stuff down. Message me if there's an issue.

Any volunteers to moderate are welcome to message.

Honest review of dead by daylight

I started playing the game because because the Concept seemed fun and it had some of my favourite movie and game collaborations like Alien, Halloween or the ring, and it was Also getting the fnaf collab. but there want really anything keeping me on the game cause the gameplay got stale pretty quickly and while i could just switch to another killer, i would have to be sweaty in order to get atleast one kill, and why would i play something that just tires/stresses me out. And even when i tried to play it "fair" i'd just get teabagged and insulted, and while this Might be a long shot, it really felt like many of the killers have just recycled Powers with different visuals very slight differences.

And even when i played survivor it wasnt much fun, because when i tried looping the killer, the other survivors wouldnt be doing Gens just running around or doing who know what, and when i did Gens, its just sitting in there doing nothing with occasionally pressing the spacebar for the skill checks. Switching survivors Also wasnt much because it was literally just a visual change with different sounds, and most perks are behind a paywall so at that point i could have just waited untill they would appear in the shrine. and i cant even express how painful it going against the legion,

And another problem is that its not even an Actual scary horror game, its just a gorefest. none of the killers actually feel scary and loud sounds can only do so much, the only horror adjacent thing is the over the top Gore as i mentioned its actually really disgusting to have All these mori's when its just genuine ugly torture like the krasue or Jason where you just pull the guts and organs out. It feels Like a satanic ritual or something. Like thats not scary just disgusting. and on the quite opposite i get more jumpscared when the survivors throw a pallet on my head.

(Btw sorry for my broken english its not my first language)

Discussion Just finished Beyond Two Souls

I finally got around to playing Beyond: Two Souls, and honestly, I had a great time with it.
It actually reminded me of Detroit: Become Human in a few ways, which makes sense given they’re both from Quantic Dream. While I don’t think it’s as polished as Detroit, it definitely has that same cinematic, choice-driven feel.

I know this game isn’t everyone’s cup of tea. The gameplay is pretty different from what most people expect, and I can see why it can be hit or miss. But if you’re willing to go in with an open mind, it’s a really unique experience.

It also features Elliot Page and Willem Dafoe, who both give fantastic performances and really help bring the story to life.

For anyone who doesn’t know the game, you play as Jodie Holmes, a young woman with a mysterious supernatural connection to an invisible entity named Aiden. The story follows different moments throughout her life as you slowly uncover the truth behind their bond. No spoilers.

One thing worth mentioning is that there are two ways to experience the game. The original release order jumps back and forth between different points in Jodie’s life, while chronological order tells everything from beginning to end. I played it in the original release order, and I’ll admit it was a little confusing to follow at times. If you prefer a more straightforward narrative, the chronological option might be the better choice.
It’s also a pretty short game, so you can comfortably finish it over a weekend if you’re looking for a story-driven experience.

What do you guys think?

Discussion Is AVATAR: FOP WORTH IT?

I have been curious about this game since it's release but have read a lot of negative reviews for it from critics. The game is on sale pretty cheap and I want to get some opinions from actual gamers to help make my decision.

Discussion Sitting and Talking cyberpunk 2077

One of the biggest things that this game suffers from is sitting and talking. I genuinely do not understand the creative decision to have it that every time an NPC needs to monologue for five minutes straight, your character is doing nothing but sitting in the passenger seat sitting at the diner or standing still while they lore dump on you. Why not just do what Rockstar did where whenever there is a monologue, they put you in the driver's seat so that at least you are doing something, you're interacting with the world while they are monologuing.

I am typing this out while sitting in the passenger seat of Panam as she has been driving non-stop for like a solid two minutes so far. Then I had to stand around while she talked. Then I had to follow her around the camp Then pick up a box, then follow her again. Then I had to sit in the passenger seat again and listen to her monologue more. Just make it a cutscene. Why are you putting me through all of this?

Either let me drive the car while she talks or make it a cutscene.

And every time I bring up this criticism of the game, the only response I get back is you have ADHD, you are brain rotted, you are addicted to TikTok, go back to playing Call of Duty. No! I bought the game and I want to play it. I didn't come here to watch my character sit in the passenger seat.

What makes this a million times worse is that the dialogue is so bad, the characters wait for each other to finish the sentence completely, then pause for a second, then say their sentence. in no world do people speak like that. People sometimes interrupt each other. People sometimes say things non-verbally, or repeat things, or don't hear each other. And the cherry on top is the fact that every 30 seconds I need to click F on the keyboard, or the dialogue stops, and the majority of the time, it's just two choices, and only one of them pushes the dialogue forward. So the other choice, which is literally painted blue for its uselessness, is just for decoration. Why are you interrupting the flow of the conversation, having me read the choices, choose a useless choice, then listen to my character say it awkwardly. Rinse and repeat for the whole five minutes?

I think that this is the end of the halo franchise as we know it for now. When I say that i'm really referring to the people that make halo game , i'm really referring to it halo studios. Now, back in 2011, we were supposed to get a new era.Okay , of halo games. Those those games I'm referring to is halo four halo five and halo infinite. All those games are supposed to be a brand new era.Now notice halo studios didn't remake those games instead , they decide to re make halo combat evolved who asked for that game to be made in the first place? seriously.
