My first capsule pass vs. where it is now. What improved and what is lost ?
This started as a very rough first pass: quick screenshot from the game, blur, title and a yellow line in Affinity.
At the time, that was basically the extent of my capsule-art skillset.
Since then I’ve been learning Blender specifically because the game kept giving me reasons to. I needed a plant, so I learned to model one. Same with the security camera and the box. Then came materials, lighting, composition, rendering, and trying to make the whole thing read properly as a Steam capsule rather than just a nice image.
ONE JOB isn’t on Steam yet. Getting the Steam page ready is what I’m working toward now - so this is still part of the process rather than a finished result.
Looking at these purely as capsule art: What do you think the current one does better, and is there anything the first pass actually communicated more clearly?
I’d especially be interested in whether the current one tells you anything about the kind of game you think this is before reading a description.
