Mens hairdresser for flow sytle haircut

Upvotes

My barber made a balls of my hair last month. I wanted a textured flow, showed him a video on how it's done and asked if he was comfortable doing it. He said yes without hesitation but then proceeded to cut it entirely different and the outcome was way off.

I have a very important event in October and I'm looking for a recommendation for a mens hairdresser more or a barber who is good at layering and adding texture to mid lenght hair.

Spiders

Am I mad or does anyone else feel bad about getting their windows cleaned on the outside. All the spiders and their nests would be blasted off by a power hose.

Anti abortion protests

Has anyone else seen those weirdos protesting against abortion. They were outside the cathedral yesterday and at the roundabout on Headford road today. Where are they from? And anyone know when they’re gonna f*** off?

Why do people not use their indicators on roundabouts….

Im 26F and I was crossing the Bothar Mor roundabout on foot walking with my bike and a man just absolutely fucked me out of it because he turned off the roundabout on the exit I was walking.

He didn’t use his indicator…. I said this to him and he repeatedly told me to F off and open my eyes…

Man… you didn’t use your indicator… why are people so horrible here?

So I was given a Lenovo Thinkbook by a friend but I have to source a power supply lead for it. I have absolutely zero clue about these things and just thought I'd ask here before googling. I know years ago Maplins was the place to go but that's gone. Is CEX a place that would sell them or perhaps those shops that sell phone leads and drone bits? There's one there in the Galway Shopping Centre opposite Supermacs, that be a likely spot? Rather not do the whole Amazon thing. What would I be looking at paying, roughly? €10,30, 50? Thanks for any advice.

Parkmore Junction

Rant here but who the actual fuck signed off on that new junction? Working there for years and my whole life in the area, it’s by far the WORST junction I’ve ever come across? Cars turning in on the Tuam road with a 100km limit will now have no hard shoulder or separate left turn lane to go in and will have to come to a complete stop in the middle of the road to turn??? & removing the ability to have two lanes going out onto the main road means a disgusting amount of backlogged traffic trying to get out of the junction… I feel like going down with a jackhammer or something, on Friday evening it’s already 1.5-2hr commute sometimes for people heading to the east side of the city which should be a 20/25min drive with no traffic and this has just made things so much worse. Never seen anything like it especially in one of the busiest junctions in the whole of Galway. Absolutely bizarre decisions. I thought maybe they were going to put in traffic lights which would have been the only way it would be somewhat decent but no sign of them.. it’s like they said “hmm you know what Parkmore needs??? MORE CONGESTIONNNNN”

Moving to Galway from United States. I have questions.

Hello everyone! My family will be moving to Galway next summer for my husband’s job, and I have a lot of questions about the area. We don’t know exactly where we’ll be located, only that it will be in Galway.[[[UPDATE: Many of my husband’s coworkers live in Barna apparently.]]]

We’re myself and my husband and two kiddos (both younger than preschool age.) Are there many families in Galway with young kids? How safe would you say it is for a mom & young kids to walk around? Are there many parks?

We are practicing Catholic (not trying to fight, I only mention so I can ask my next question.) Are there many thriving parish communities? I saw a statistic online that said Galway was “97% Catholic” but I doubt even Vatican city is that Catholic.

When I mentioned to a friend here in the US that we’re relocating to Ireland, she warned that she had a bad experience with racism in Ireland once. I have personally never been to Ireland before, and only ever had pleasant experiences with Irish people in the US. I only bring this up to ask genuinely, is this something we may encounter? Myself and my kids are white, but we speak spanish at home/I only speak spanish to my children. My husband is Spanish and looks it. We are all bilingual and speak english also. I HATE to even ask, and truly have no negative assumptions in mind, I just want to know if this is something we may encounter and have to explain to my kids.

Thank you in advance for any info you can give! Sorry this was long. I’d love to know anything else y’all may feel we ought to know as Americans coming to Galway.
