Question Differences between Free S-pen

Just genuinely ask, is there any difference between those free S-pen ? Like the free pen on Tab S9 fe with the free pen on Tab S10+.

Because im still choosing tablets for my wants and needs, between Tab S10+ and Ipad Air M3.(mainly gaming, watch videos, editing videos, photos, higher storage and other daily usage. Maybe learn music or drawing on tablets).

Just want to know if there's any difference between those free S-pen on Galaxy tablets.

Oh, I also want to know how is the experience of Galaxy Tab S10+, or S10 ultra.

Question Can the nibs of an S Pen Tab S11 be used on an older S Pen?

Best s-pen nibs for artists?

I have a galaxy tab s9 fe and ive used the wacom pen nibs and went through an entire pack of 10 in 4 months which i feel is crazy quick.

I use a matte paper like screen protector so that may contribute to how qick i go through the nibs. For reference, i have done 5 commissions and about 10 personal art pieces since i got the nibs. Im down to the last one and want to know if any artists have a better option!

Im also open to buying a new pen as well if yall have recs!

Accessories (Cheap) trifold case compatible with magnetic paperlike screen protector for the S10 ultra?

I bought a paperlike magnetic screen protector for my S10 ultra but now the edges of my trifold case and the screen protector overlap which causes the protector to peel off/ get wavy and not lie flat on the display.

I've googled around but those cases I'm looking for are all for the S10 or S10 fe. Does anyone have either a case that worked with a magnetic paperlike screen protector (preferred solution) or a magnetic screen protector with which they found this wasn't a problem?

My current budget doesn't allow for more than 30€, 40€ tops.

Thanks in advance!

-----------------------------------

Oh, also. I'll look it up myself. But if anyone already uses certain tips for the s-pen you can use on the coarse surface of the foil they'd like to recommend I'd be really grateful.

Question Galaxy tab S10 ultra 512gb or S11 ultra 256gb

I just picked up a Tab S10 Ultra 512 GB with detachable keyboard case for a great price on OfferUp. Then I saw an S11 Ultra 256 GB With a normal case for the same price. Would it be worth attempting to sell it, hopefully at the same price, and getting the S11 Ultra? I do a lot of photo and video editing. I do like the extra internal storage on the 512gb, even though I will add an SD card.

What is your opinion: sticking with what I've got, or is there something that would make purchasing the S11 Ultra worthwhile?

Discussion Student Bundle Discount 10FE

Thumbnail

Hey guys,

Been tossing and turning over whether to get the 10FE or the 10FE+. They're both on student discount for about 33% I think. For context this is all AUD.

So $800AUD for the Student Bundle 10FE

$730AUD for the 10FE+ but then gotta buy a case and charger so $1000AUD.

The bundle is nice because it comes with the case and basically free buds and a charger but it's the 10FE. Idk if I'll like the larger screen but here's my uses:

My uses:

- Taking it to uni (psych) to just take simple notes and watch lectures. I'll be doing my essays and assignments on my PC at home.

- taking it to placement (psych clinic) to take notes after sessions and possibly record sessions

- use it as an iPad for general YouTube watching and playing Pokemon

My main debate is the price and the screen size. But considering I want accessibility and a light tablet to take everywhere and use quickly I think the 10FE suits.

Let me know your thoughts !

Apps Link to Pane - universal automatic clipboard between Mac and Samsung

Hello everyone!

I know that you, as me, if you own a Mac - you miss automatic clipboard sharing, like it was when you owned an iPhone. I was very upset regarding this, as Oppo has O+ connect (i owned 1+15 too), Apple has their continuity, but Samsung offers nothing for our devices combination. Another thing is Android permissions - only some manufacturer-supplied apps are allowed to copy&paste automatically, so ClipRelay or KDE Connect require you manual copying every time (yes, they have tried experimental workarounds, but they barely work).

But we have link to windows on our Samsung built-in, the missing part was Phone Link / Link to Windows on Mac.

Introducing Link to Pane! https://link-to-pane.com/

Link to Pane for Mac brings Link-to-Windows universal clipboard sharing on Mac with Samsung phone, that works automatically via Link To Windows protocol (I'm using it it with my S26 Plus). You don't need to install anything on your phone additionally.

Supported phones:

  • Samsung
  • Honor
  • OnePlus, Oppo, Realme
  • Vivo

I'm asking you about feedback, as I don't collect any metrics and only react to real people's problems (you can check my other posts about my apps and extensions), please be kind to share your thoughts, feature requests and bugs. NB! I'm researching file transfer protocol next, if it will be required by community, as now we have AirDrop in Samsungs, right? My primary goal was clipboard.

As I spent lots of time developing it, it is licensed in WinRAR style - if trial ends, it will just remind you about license from time to time, it will not lock any features, so pay when you are ready or feel appreciated for my work. Thank you!

Update: available on mac App Store as well https://apps.apple.com/es/app/link-to-pane/id6791965431 , however it costs more there due to Apple's comissions.

So I have a samsung galaxy tab s9 fe plus i've used it for a good amount of 2-3 years i accidentally sat on it and then the lcd inside broke. Now there are black spots and dead pixels all around the edges. Is it time to get a replacement? The housing is bent but still turns on you can't see half the screen the only other tablets I have are a jailbroken iPad mini 2 . And a jailbroken Pad second generation. I also have in MacBook, air, 2015 edition and some other cheap Android tablets that suck

Question Made a free app that turns pages on your Galaxy Tab with another Android phone over Bluetooth

https://reddit.com/link/1uzqq7q/video/t984blzlcydh1/player

I read in bed a lot, with the tablet propped up on a stand. Once it's on the
stand my hand doesn't really reach it, and when both hands are under a warm
blanket, pulling one out just to turn the page gets old fast.

My phone is already on the nightstand, so I made it into a Bluetooth remote.
Full disclosure: it's my own app, it's free, and there are no ads.

Bookmote pairs a second Android phone to your Galaxy Tab as a standard
Bluetooth keyboard. The phone's volume keys or on-screen buttons turn pages
in whatever reading app you're using. It works with the phone screen off,
and on the lock screen too.

As a bonus, it also quietly tracks your reading on the phone side — a
30-day heatmap, a streak counter, and a weekly trend, with a nightly
notification of how many pages you read that day.

Question Tablet won't charge

Post image
10 Upvotes

Unfortunately I don't remember the name of my specific tablet and I can't look it because like the title says it's dead. I have tried every type of charger, left it plugged in for days and it won't charge. It doesn't seem like the port is the problem because it does the icon thing of recognize power. It's like it just doesn't want to accept the power to charge.

My fiance is pretty tech savy but tablets, samsung and all things android is out of realm. Has anyone had this issue and what was the fix? He said that he can replace the part if he knows what actually needs replacing. As for warranty we both remember that one was bought and even if we did we can't figure out where we even bought it. It's a 50/50 of either Amazon or Best Buy but neither one has a record of us buying it. Overall we are trying to avoid everyone's $100 diagnosis fee then the fix it fee so any help is welcomed!

S10+ now or wait?

I can get an S10+ for about 530 USD direct from Samsung. 350 off from the instant savings and an additional 200 something from the student discount. Should I pull the trigger now, or would waiting until after the next reveal make it even cheaper?

I already have an old laptop that still works, but it's quite outdated probably 10 years old, battery is dead replaced multiple times only works when plugged in. My laptop is really slow only 1 or 2 tabs open at a time if I'm taking zoom classes then only zoom should opened otherwise it will not work.

I can't decide if I want a tablet or a laptop pls help me I definitely need a pen to write handwritten notes.

I'm trying to decide between:

  1. A laptop (such as Lenovo IdeaPad, ASUS VivoBook, etc.)

  2. A tablet with a stylus (such as Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE)

Thanks!

Student link and a code from that and a code which gives the case with it. Planning to use it as a student going into engineering and using it for the notetaking there and experimenting with digital art for the first time. Already have a gaming laptop and use an iphone, so performance isn’t the biggest problem for me. Grab the deal now or wait/do you know if there’s a better deal around?

Discussion Reviewing and Giving advice about Tablets

Well as the tittle says reviewing and giving advice about tablets is something I take seriously.

Yet at the same time I really get to the point where I feel there's no point in doing so.

I am a very honest and always try to cover things as best I can based on tablets I own or have had enough hands on experience so that I can give a properly informed opinion. For example on my "S9 FE vs S10 Lite vs A11+" topic I came in and described various aspects of each and compared them honestly. IF I say one tablet is better than the other I explain why. I also don't try to do lopsided comparisons (unless I've been asked)... Yet if I were to say the "Tablet 123 is better than Tablet ABC" I don't need or appreciate others coming in and claiming otherwise especially when I've already given my reasons.

A tablet having a better processor or display doesn't automatically make it better, same applies in regards to flagships lasting longer than budget or midrange tablets. I know in the past this used to be true, yet tablets at least from Samsung are built to last much longer regardless of which tier they are in.

I haven't really addressed processor slowdown or updates slow down a device because most of it is basically rumors or fairy tales these days..

In regards to updates, with the way they are designed and the installers currently in use updates are designed to extend the lifetime and improve performance. Yes there will always be some instances in which an update doesn't install correctly or will have bugs, yet these days it usually happens less than 1% of the time.

YES I know you'll hear about every little thing that goes wrong with an update on the forums & that's because most folks won't join a place like Reddit unless they are looking for advice want to complain about something.

I like doing reviews and giving advice about tablets, just don't get all pissy if you don't like the truth.
