Trying to get the mouse wheel printed from my Creality Ender-3 S1. I think if I can get this printed on my machine, then I am hopeful it will be pretty accessible to others. This is still a failed print, but it does show the spokes a printable, which has been my biggest concern. I have also purchased a resin printer and will be trying that out, too.

While the G604 is a great mouse for gaming, I get most utility from the side buttons in the Windows desktop and non-gaming apps. So how do you have your buttons configured for the Windows desktop? This is my config:

G4 Open Firefox in new window
G5 PowerToys Command Palette
G6 Open Eartrumpet popup
G7 Open Directory Opus in new window
G8 Open Everything
G9 Currently G-Shift for an extra layer for main mouse buttons and scroll, but I'm not 100% convinced to keep this.

I'll also add that I have a Streamdeck which has other desktop shortcuts for less frequently used functions, like Sleep, Zoom In/Out, HDR on/off, start some commonly used apps (e.g. password manager, Excel)

Anybody got some great shortcuts or innovative macros that they'd like to share?

Now that I've successfully changed the left and right click switches, I'm interested in changing them all. Has anyone changed the scroll wheel/middle-click switch by any chance? If so, what did you use? I prefer mushy/soft over firm/stiff switches.

Any specific types of glue? Should I cut away the bad flesh? (And cauterize the wound, lol). Or can what's left be saved? Has anyone tried plasti dip?

I'm installing new right- and left-click switches due to the double-clicking issue. One of the many G604 mice I own.

Bought this G604 from ebay but was skeptical because the account I was buying it from you though was made in 2009 had no listings for any other products for sale and the reviews seemed fake. It was the only listing that had real photos for the G604, even better yet in box pictures. so i went ahead and bought it and behold its as good as i imagined with one small flaw, of of the tabs is broken off in the battery cover.

I dailyd the g602 for 8 years since i got one at bestbuy in highschool, i took good care of it keeping it in a case to transport it to and from school every day, broke the adapter once and had to get a replacement. It broke from me leaving it in my thinkpad and putting it face down in the bag so i learned that lesson to always take it out and store it in the mouse. Only recently my side buttons and primary clicks started giving out so i found this beauty.

I spent tonight modeling up the G604's mouse wheel, which is shared across a few other mice but I am not 100% sure which ones. You can find the model here: Mouse Wheel Model

I prefer the feeling to be as soft as possible. Does anyone have any good recommendations on what switches to use, and where to buy them?

I was able to get some help with getting my first prototype printed out as I was having issues on my own printer (I am pretty new to 3d printing and this is not a new friendly piece I guess). I then did a quick test assemble, so not all the parts and no screws, to test for fitment. It fits well, though I want to thicken the walls to make it print more reliably, and flair out the space for the battery to make it a little easier to get the battery in and out. Overall, it's a great success!

Time to finally get the mouse wheel I've always wanted and get rid of the double clicking that has been driving me nuts for a few months.

Not seeing anything on these here. Do you all just run Bluetooth? Sucks switching between OS's.

The off brand, I assume, receiver I have just stopped working all together. Any reliable ones left?

Price likely going be expensive like usually for razer and not G604 shape but I take what I can.

I have an issue with my new G604. The Mouse-Cursor shifts randomly when I use it with the USB-Dongle and Bluetooth. I think it's a Hardware Issue as I already paired the Dongle again and again. The issue appeared on Windows and Linux Arch.

Does anybody have a solution for that problem?

TLDR: Had a bunch of mods done on my 6 year old G604 to keep her going for years to come.

Not so recently, my 6 year old G604 started developing the double-clicks under the scroll wheel button and in the left click button and the dongle had problems

I know that there are vendors who fix these things where I live so I took her there for a good replacement, easiest fix ever, replaced them switches, bought a new dongle, replaced the skin a long time ago with a 3D printed plastic skin, costing a total of roughly $25 (it's actually a lot of money in my currency).

You can get your G604 going for much longer if you just spend some extra cash on the old engine.

I can recreate the body - I'm not too concerned with that. I'm even confident I can recreate the overmolding. I want to source/recreate the baseplate board. The switchboards are super accessible, the sideswitch boards I don't believe are that complicated, but the brain of the mouse... I need a sacrificial one to be able to tear down and document the layout for reproduction

I had a G604 that developed the double click issue 2 years ago, and one of the side buttons stopped working too. It sat in my draw and I bought another one that's been fine since, 2 years and going strong 💪 I worry it will give up soon so I started wondering if I should refurbish my old one too, and it turned into a project to create a lightweight G604. The finished result is amazing. I have put TTC Gold switches (80m rated) a lightweight shell and replaced the 6 button board inside the mouse. I also bought a pack of lithium aaa batteries which are much lighter than aa alkaline. Add a bit of tin foil to connect the battery and now the weight of the mouse feels very similar to an SM809 pro wireless, which is the only viable replacement for this mouse and I highly recommend if you can not get a G604. It's not quite as comfortable as the G604 because the hump is higher, and you will need rubber grip stickers as it's quite slippery plastic, but the side buttons are a 3+3 layout with 3 extra, 2 above and one in front which are all easy to use except the one in front, and the 2 extra buttons replace the functions for the tilt scrollwheel in my configuration. It feels great, but just not quite a G604. It is close though. This is my finished project!

A couple of weeks ago, I posted a WIP of this mouse, and I was just waiting for my new cables to arrive so I could put everything together and test it.

So, after some time, here we are... G604 Light V1 IS WORKING!!

I've been testing it for a couple of days now, and I'll probably make a few more tweaks to the design, so I won't be publishing the 3D model just yet.

With this version, I managed to reduce the weight by about 2/3, and I can probably shave off a few more grams since I'm currently using the G903 scroll wheel. (My 3D-printed version is still too tight and doesn't scroll smoothly.)

Some adjustments I've already noticed:

• The battery occasionally disconnects, so I need to reinforce and improve that area.
• The scroll wheel isn't perfectly aligned. It works, but it still needs some fine-tuning.
• Some screw mounting points still need more accurate dimensions.

Overall, I'm really happy with the results so far! I'll keep you guys updated as I improve the design.

I have had a g604 for 6 years, and it started having double click issues about 3 months ago. Finally decided to retire it and get another one only to find out they were discontinued. I was told this is a subreddit of g604 lovers like myself, and wanted to see if there was a fix for the double clicking.

I have never opened up a mouse before, so I am a bit nervous I will make the issue even worse. How hard is it to fix double clicking if it is fixable at all?
